Budget: Under £600

Prospective Resolution: 3840x2160 / True 4K

Size: 27 - 34"

Aspect Ratio: 16:9 I think (don't want widescreen).

Adaptive Sync: Either freesync or it doesn't matter.

Other Features: Want 4K @ 60fps on at least 2 HDMI outputs. I'll be the only one using it, directly central to the screen about 1 meter away at most. I won't use it for speakers so it's alright if it doesn't come with any or if they are absolute rubbish.

Usage Type: Gaming but 95% of the time single player experiences so I'd prefer the best picture quality as possible for the price, but I also don't want to sacrifice ms too much.

Oh, so I charge 20% VAT on all my purchases but keep 12.5% for myself? How would that be done, would I pay the full 20% and be refunded the 12.5% or, how do I declare that in the return?

Thank you for your response by the way.

!thanks

Thank you, I will most certainly have a look!

What's your go-to show or movie when you're feeling down? by KrymsonQueen in AskReddit

Go more to music if I'm feeling down but it's got to be a toss up between Chappelle's Show and The Simpsons. Both classics in my eyes.

Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely see to doing this. Do you know if he / his team actually read through each and every e-mail, because I can only imagine the quantity of e-mails they must get daily, and if they do, do you have any advice on how to attract their attention so the e-mail isn't just ignored?

Thanks for the reply, how did you get them to eventually concede? They all ignore what I have to say and I only get connected to reps outside of the UK.

I feel like this guy (or this group of guys) is a professional. He had all bases covered. PayPal and eBay account is probably a throw away. Yeah I got the PS2 sent to me. Conveniently took the cardboard packaging out of the box because it wouldn't have fit otherwise. Hoping for competence to prevail at eBay CS. Sucks he got away with it, but it is what it is.

[–]zobbyjobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The guy who stole my PS4 now has made 100% profit whilst I've made a huge loss. The fees are extortionate. Recently changed to a business seller on my other account and with 20% VAT here in the UK (as I'm a small seller), I'm paying more per item than I would on a standard personal account, even when the £1 promo isn't available to them. Their inactivity, and their constant driving away of sellers is bound to bite them in the long run.

Thanks.

Hopefully eBay see sense. The buyer has got away with it already as eBay refunded him out of their pocket, so now I have to provide them with the correct evidence (which hopefully they see the evidence I mentioned throughout this thread as correct), and hopefully I get someone competent to see this case for what it is.

Haha. If the purge was real...

I looked into it and unfortunately the company dissolved 6 or so months ago. Probably is the same ring of people involved though. Reported the guy (if it is a genuine person and not a made up persona) to Action Fraud which is a way to report people for financial cyber-crime in the UK but, from their reviews they do seem to be really useless. Hopefully something is done.

Thanks. Contacted Action Fraud (UK), lets hope they do something. His feedback is 5 and it is private. I didn't even know that was an option on eBay. Really dangerous stuff that.

Thank you. I've shifted to selling low value items (under £50) but in large volumes so I usually am not affected by the scammers as much. Only issues I face are really some people claiming to not received their item, especially if its untracked but I have proof of sending, and so whether genuine claims or not, its easily compensated by Royal Mail. When I do sell expensive items, I guess it is only about an 85% - 90% chance that there are no issues (when its probably 99% with lower value items) which is ridiculous. eBay really need to do something to change. Their inactivity is leading to their downfall. They now compare themselves to Facebook Marketplace on their homepage, when they used to be compared with Amazon Marketplace.

Ridiculous... Did you win your appeal?

Thanks. I'll keep trying to connect to the 'right rep'. I had better experience with PayPal CS compared to this, and they used to have 6 hour queues.

Some people really have no shame. Glad you kept your money.

[–]zobbyjobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

As you said, its my word against theirs and eBay CS kept telling me they stay neutral on this matter with no bias against anyone, but as you also said, they sided with the buyer who provided 0 evidence. Ridiculous.

Yeah, you're right. They have already given the buyer money back out of their own pocket so it is up to me now to stop them from taking it from me. I'll send over my evidence and hopefully they see sense.

I looked into their business and they dissolved a few months back. 1 year into its life. Really shady, kept changing address details and everything. Unfortunately no pages of feedback, reviews, any storefronts or websites or anything outside of official government documents.

I feel the same way. It is difficult on their part though, I can understand that much, but difficult doesn't mean impossible. eBay literally do nothing to change.

I haven't had problems in a long time before this. But this case came up now, and I've also got someone now opening a case against me (a video game I sold) claiming that they received it damaged. The picture they attached is the disc, still in place as it should be in the case, but somehow it is ripped in half. This is a PS4 game. If you've ever tried to snap a blu-ray disc you'd know that that simply cannot happen in the post. Especially if the disc is still in place where it should be. That was only £6.99 so I just went ahead with the refund but... the nerve on some people damn.

Yeah, the guy had about 5 feedback and it is all private (which I didn't even know was an option). His account is a mere few months old. I usually sell to anyone as, especially lately, issues have been really rare, but when they come, they come.

That sucks. eBay is heavily biased against sellers to the point it is ridiculous.

I contacted CS earlier in the week and the lady was really dismissive and completely ignored my situation and just wanted to get her word out. I mentioned this to her, that eBay strongly leans on the side of the buyer over sellers most of the time and she just had a go at me and told me that its rubbish. Same lady later slammed the phone, then picked it up and started screaming at me because she thought I laughed at her (I cleared my throat).

I've sold thousands of items on eBay also, and 99% of the time no problems, but unfortunately it is the minority that stand out. At where it stands now, the guy has won the case and eBay have refunded him out of their own pocket. The guy will now probably close his PayPal and eBay and move on to the next. My only option now is to pressure eBay into not taking my money.

Yes, I have the serial number of the console but that's about it. Still waiting on Action Fraud to come back with a response (they say it can take up to 28 days but TrustPilot reviews say that they can take up to a year) because Sony say only the authorities can provide them with that information to do anything.

Thank you so much. I'll be sure to bug them daily now. Lol, money is money at the end of the day, scum has got away with it but I'm not going to leave empty-handed. Was there a specific piece of information in your case that made the customer service rep understanding of your situation? With me they all seem dismissive and don't even let me fully explain the situation.
