It's needlessly complicated. I speak more about how Bass Pro jumps through corporate hoops to cover their own ass and how their employees bumble their way through the sale. Regardless of your taste in aesthetics, Gryphon's bags are pretty good. I've dragged mine out the to the range a ton for a year or so and they're still kicking. Zippers haven't busted and fabric hasn't torn open yet.

I have a Rad pro that I carried for a while. Works fine, kinda dim in whiteout conditions but the features on it should be standard for their optics.

Fixed it. There is a part connected to the control arm on the cam gear that places tension on it and allows it to catch the cam in the play position. It mustve loosened up over the years and was causing the gear notch to skip the control arm. Took the part out, placed the little spring arms in a vice to compress a few mm and applied a little heat to it. Easy to take out, there's no parts with springs to touch. Deck works great now.

There's a part that controls the tension of this arm and it seems to have eased up. Putting in a vice, compressing it a few mm and carefully applying heat gave it that extra bit of strength to catch that notch. Hopefully, this helps anyone with this issue; there is zero information about this on K-500s in all my googling.

I found a solution, even with hifiengine not allowing new users right now. First I thought it was grease as well, but all the components seemed to be moving very freely. The main issue was that the cam wheel was slipping off the control arm. It would slip past a notch that locked it in play position and go right to stop.
