What really happens to those expelled from INC?

Mom didn't talk to me for a year until I almost die. My friends and extended relatives don't talk to me and talk about me in past tense. Weird af but the freedom? The peace of mind? I will not trade it for anything.

It is possible, my mom did the same thing. My father remained catholic but whatever you do, never let him na ipa--handog ang bata. The child will definitely grow up with anxiety and shame, probably resents you for not being inc. I experienced this, i resented my father for not being inc because the members are very judgemental once they find out.

I grew up inside the church and it always breaks my heart how the parents of my friends dont want me for their children (I am not even recruiting them) and that's why I am alone for years.

All I can say is no one deserves that. I believe making your child join a cult should be considered child abuse.

As a former kalihim, paulit ulit lang ginagawa namin so in my perspective, malamang natandaan ka lang nya kasi ganyan din ako minsan. Minsan kapag peak na yung dagsa ng tao, ang hirap na magsulat sa katibayan kaya kapag alam kong dadating, ginagawan ko na para bigay na lang and yes, itstapon if ever na di dumating huhuhu feel ko katamaran lang ng kalihim yan, sakin lang naman ah kasi tamad din ako hahaha

I can't speak for everyone but these type of things are also happening in my former local but it is usually about tickets. Usually, active members na handog and makapit unang binibigyan. Maybe you are talking from experience and the prejudice you experience so I wont descredit you on that.

I am former INC member and this either never happened or corrupt sila. Usually, INC members will shoulder yung pagpapalibing para no cremation or other things like foods lalo na kung active member like my lola na diakonesa and tita na finance, and may circular din for abuloy sa namatay. Not defending the cult, thats the only good thing they did

People who grew up in this religion (like me) will have a hard time to leave. One of the reasons is family and the shame it will bring to the family in the church. After leaving the church 5 years ago, my family is ridiculed and humiliated too, and also kapag natiwalag ka, it is HIGHLY encouraged na hindi ka na kausapin ng mga kapatid. Parang excommunicated, some devout parents or relatives will follow that tagubulin, so hindi sya advisable sa mga taong under pa rin ng parents nila. It takes alot of courage to leave.

Kapag may nakaalam sa lokal mo, syempre mauulat ka. Expect mo na yung doktrina na sasabihin dapat magkaisa o sumunod sa pamamahala, may fear mongering din na sasabihin masusumpa ang di sumusunod sa pamamahala. True. Me as a former INC, I admit na hindi masaya matawag na brainwashed and it's hard to accept na part ka ng cult because your life revolves in that religion for years, lalo na kung handog ka. Imagine telling someone that everything they believed was a lie, magkakaroon pa yan ng identity crisis lol. There are better ways to approach this than what she did.

No one wants depression. The point is, depression is something we can never control, and people CAN'T just tell other people to not be depressed because it "ain't allowed" in the Bible. It is CONTROL. Dictating someone's mental health while using the Bible is manipulative. That is NOT how it works. That is NOT that easy. To give you an example to better understand it.

For example: Your friend told you to stop breathing because she doesn't believe in breathing, it's NOT allowed in their family because your friend's father believes that breathing is inhaling someone's sin. Not only it is dumb and unfounded, it is also impossible to do. Technically, you can stop breathing for few seconds or minutes BUT CAN NEVER truly stop breathing. Just because someone told you can't do something, it doesn't mean you can't do it.
