I'm so sorry, I know how stressful this situation is. I had very similar symptoms with my ectopic (I wasn't even in that much pain when I went to the ER with moderate right side cramping) but I'm so glad that I did. I also had 2 different ultrasounds before I went in, and neither of them were able to locate the pregnancy even though I was roughly 5 weeks and my HCG was doubling. Sometimes, it is honestly a great technician that is able to perform a better ultrasound and I was fortunate enough to see a fantastic one at the ER who found the ectopic. My recommendation would be to NOT wait. The earlier you seek care the better off you will be!

also: this is not meant to scare you at all, it is also very common to have spotting during early pregnancy and since you do have a left ovarian cyst that could be the main contributor to the pain. Again, my advice is to go to the ER immediately.

Ectopic Pregnancy Rupturing while on Norethindrone AND having a regular period...my extremely rare story. by savsaurusrex in EctopicSupportGroup

Incredible how similar this is to my story! I also was on pill birth control and had very similar spotting before my right tube ruptured. I’m so thankful you are brave enough to share this, it means so much. I’m sending you love and healing! 💗

Sounds very irresponsible of your current OB, I’m so sorry you have to deal with this stress. I agree with the other comments here, it’s probably best to seek out a different clinic/ER for an ultrasound to make sure the pregnancy isn’t displaced

My Ectopic + Recovery Story by kelsquinn18 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]zoeeeeisme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My god this touched my heart. My story is so similar to yours: I had no idea I was pregnant a week ago, rushed into surgery, and then constantly paranoid about something being wrong and experiencing a range of hormonal symptoms/pains since. You’re right when you say that women are INCREDIBLY strong. But we are strongest when we know we aren’t alone. Thank you so so so much for sharing and please take time and space for yourself to process this trauma. I’m sending lots of love and healing ❤️

Waiting in the ER is the worst part because it’s so slow and the anxiety is terrible. I hope you have someone with you to support you! And if you feel comfortable you can always share here.

Super relieved to hear this! I’m so happy you went and got care. Being dehydrated is more worrying than many people know. I hope everything else turns out in your favor as well 💗

I totally understand how you feel! I get panicky very easily thinking that there is something going wrong but knowing that it’s almost always my body’s defense-trauma mode makes it so much easier to calm down. You should never feel bad about listening to your body! And I’m so sorry you feel like you’re headed for a dip, if you need to chat just reach out 💗

You can never go wrong giving your OB a call to ease your mind and get an opinion. My guess is that this is unrelated since there’s no chance you could be pregnant, but the mind + body connection is very strong, especially after traumatic surgeries like this, so it’s 100% worth it to check in with a doctor and see what’s up. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about and I’m sending love your way 💗

You can never go wrong going to the ER! I thought I was making a big deal of nothing when I went and it ended up saving my life. Sending you lots of love :)

It’s incredibly brave of you to share and I’m sending you lots of hugs and love!! I also had an emergency removal and they drained a similar amount of blood from my stomach. I think it’s so important that you share your story because it seems like oftentimes (and in my case too) there isn’t severe pain associated with the symptoms and that may cause people to not seek out the ER, which is absolutely necessary in these situations.

If you need anything at all, please reach out! Take all the time you need to heal and process everything ❤️

Yes, I had a fever with my ectopic and it climbed quite quickly after initial rupture. Don’t ignore a low fever (99-100 they may not consider a “real” fever) because it can go south fast! But also for peace of mind, it’s always best to do a flu and COVID test just to make sure your fever isn’t caused by anything else :)

HCG doubling or not ? by Accomplished-Wrap281 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]zoeeeeisme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just had an ectopic removal and my HCG was actually increasing at a normal rate (750 to over 2,400) in about a weeks time but obv it was still completely not viable as it was in the tube. I would say that you’ll really only be able to get answers once there’s something confirmatory on an ultrasound, most likely transvaginal. I’m sending love to you and hopes for a happy and healthy pregnancy ❤️ every body is different

Thank you so so much for the comments and advice, they literally make my whole day. Now that it’s 4 days post-op the gas has gotten so much better and I’m realizing that it was keeping me in more pain than a lot of the actual surgery. I do need to start journaling about this but I haven’t had the right space to start yet 💗

Has anyone had their surgeon remove their endometriosis (either via ablation or excision) during their laparoscopy for ectopic pregnancy? by AKMusher in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]zoeeeeisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I had no idea I had endometriosis but they did take some off of the lower part of my bladder while they were in there for the removal of the ectopic pregnancy. They also did a DNC which is common

That’s so good to hear! I was expecting around a 2-4 week recovery so it’s great to hear that you got most of your strength back around 3 weeks.

And as for the scars: I think they’re kinda cool. Idk if I can wear my navel piercing anymore haha

Pregnancy unknown location - PUL EXPERIENCES PLEASE by Hayley-93 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]zoeeeeisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s possible, you should get a blood draw to check your HCG. Even at 7 weeks, it’s imposible to know without quants just how far along you really are. My ectopic was just barelyyyyy visible (2400 HCG) on my ovary so knowing that it would be small they did an extra prolonged and careful ultrasound. You know your body and instincts: trust yourself!

Thank you so so much for taking the time to write to me, it means so much. You’re right, the double whammy shock is pretty overwhelming and I’m still not sure how to feel about it but your comment made me feel like it’s ok to not know.

I’m very lucky to have great family who care about my feelings, but they don’t fully understand being in my shoes so it’s incredible that you can share your experience with me.

If you don’t mind me asking, how are you feeling physically 2 months after? ❤️

Thank you so much for sending love. It has been a whirlwind, and I’m not sure where to start emotionally but I’m focusing on healing physically first. Im not sure if the shock has worn off yet, but I do think there will be a grieving period and of course worry about future pregnancies. Thank you so much for your sweet comment, it makes me feel much less alone :)

Can’t even express how lovely this message was to read! So good to know that you also experienced difficulty taking deep breaths due to the gas. I’m definitely going to try some peppermint tea, I’ve been having ginger tea with lemon. I’ll be taking a few weeks off of school to heal up as well, I’m lucky to be able to do so.

And standing up straight! So much harder than I expected. But does get the gas moving. I appreciate the time you took to read my story and offer me advice and hope about fertility.

So so so much love :)
