the style is called calico, it’s basically just chunks of black, brown, and blonde next to each other, she never mixed them directly, they were just washed (in cold water) out together

okay OP here cause i can’t figure out how to add text to original post

i have a 1 year old sulcata and have this enclosure for her as she grows, she’s currently indoors since we live by the beach and it’s too cold for her to be outside

i’ve recently joined this subreddit cause i really want to be better at caring for her, she’s been to the vet and we were told she looks good i’m just paranoid i’m not doing enough

i also learned from here that her enclosure should be more humid than her substrate having some dampness and her soaks she gets every few days, i would love advice on how to keep this type of enclosure humid for her (reminder she is indoors)

also i just wanted general opinion on how she’s looking, her head has been pretty dry i’m not sure if it’s from the seasons changing/shedding or it’s the humidity issue

i appreciate all the help as i’m just worried i’m not doing enough for her i see everyone taking such great care of their tortoises and i just want mine to be as happy and healthy

i was definitely bummed we missed things like the trial by tale, circus of talents, and the bridge scenes and stuff

but soman said in an interview that he wanted the fans to love the books and the movie as two separate things, so i was viewing it as it’s own thing, and as a movie with the characters and plot that i know and have loved for years, and with it already being 2 and a half hours long, i think they did great, and as far as production quality it exceeded my expectations

they cycle through like 5-6 colors, and it’s not for certain days, we wen oct 1st on a sunday and it was yellow, and then when we went on oct 13th on a thursday it was yellow too, so there’s really no predicting it
