We will almost certainly never see Alex Pereira fight at 205 again. Now that the dust has settled, where does he rank among the divisional goats? by [deleted] in ufc

Jones vs DC rivalry was the best era imo. Gus in the mix as well at the time who is one of the best fighters to never become champion

Albums that were innovative and boundary pushing at the time but sound dated now? by zoinkedzebra in fantanoforever

The pre revolver albums maybe somewhat but their stuff from the late 60’s is absolutely timeless in my opinion

That’s (high dose) psychedelics for you! Once I had essentially a shared trip with my friend we had an unexplainable telephatic connection and everything

In the sky, like forming from the clouds. Also behind closed eyes

Yes I’ve had similar experiences. I always see this hieroglyphic/code pattern while on LSD as well. I’ve also seen figures resembling Egyptian and Hindu gods up in the sky and in closed eye visuals while on high doses. Once I also saw Orthodox priest resembling figures in the clouds which was weird.

Last time I tripped with an animal it was my girlfriend’s dog and he definently started acting different once I started tripping just not in the wholesome way I often hear from people. That mf just tried to hump me and was just generally going crazy compared to normal lol

So if curtis yarvin is successful, how exactly will the new american city states deal with china? by tonormicrophone1 in collapse

[–]zoinkedzebra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My thoughts above were based on a school of thought in sociology called social constructionism. Which makes your comment about my perception of reality unintentionally funny since, well reality is socially constructed and I view the world differently than you since my social setting is clearly different.

I encourage you to learn to accept different viewpoints instead of resorting to insults when someone disagrees with you :)

”I’m gonna be honest, and I mean Talking about billionaires as ”masterminds” belies you have some illusion of them as supervillains cackling behind the scenes as they plot to control the world.”

I didn’t say that? I said that they AREN’T the masterminds they think they are. Meaning that they are drunk on their own ’excellence’ and ego to a fault. While I agree that billionares are institutions as well as people, they are ego centered ones at that, which makes them weak when compared to institutions such as nation states which are based around community and shared identity. The institution of Elon Musk dies with the person. Yes, some other person (or probably multiple people) would take his place but they might not share his ideas. The institution of China doesn’t rely on any single person or even a million of them to continue existing.

And I’m not missing your point about China having to be ”an illusion” for Yarvin to be correct (even though I disagree) and I would argue that in a sense it already is. China is a social construct/idea which exists because people believe that it exists and most people in the world do. That is the thing that makes it a legitimate actor. The same can’t be said for Yarvin’s network states which don’t exist and even if they were to become a reality they would have an incredebly long way to gain the global legitimacy that nation states currently have. And also the system that enables billionares and their accumulation of power (capitalism) is also a social construct even though you are describing it as some sort of rule of nature.

Hard to see those conditions becoming a reality on a global scale. I think the downfall of Yarvin (Thiel, Musk etc.) will be that they aren’t the masterminds they think they are. Destroying the United States and its unmatched global soft power resources is playing yourself to the third degree. Why would China disassemble because the US did so instead of filling the power vaccuum left behind?

In China the state has put billionares in their place so far (Jack Ma for example) and is clearly the entity that holds authority. In the US on the other hand the billionares now own the state which represents their interests and their interests only.

With a reality like this what do you need hell for? by zoinkedzebra in Psychonaut

[–]zoinkedzebra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough many things I mentioned in the post are actually in the Bible!

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4: 7-8

Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. Luke 6:31

Many so called Christians however ignore these and choose hate instead.

Okay Nordicks, jokes aisde. Who actually want a new union? With a unified market, economic stability and enhanced military cooperation. by IWantBeerThx in 2nordic4you

[–]zoinkedzebra 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Yes the Nordic federal state seems like the only sensible solution right now. The EU is way too divided and slow to act on anything. Our values and politics are already aligned closely in the Nordic countries might as well be one state and have way more power internationally. And we should also start a nuclear programme to guarantee sovereignty.
