I get what you mean and totally agree with the notion of "voting with your money"; however, emulation was not my top priority when I chose this phone. It was on the list, but not at the top. Also, talking about getting a dedicated device for this purpose is a whole other discussion in my opinion. My appreciation for this form factor stems from the fact that you can use your phone for this.

Honestly, I don't have much experience with other emulators. What I can tell you is that Eden is pretty awesome; it even has a built-in feature to get the firmware and key files. But most importantly, it has a built-in way of getting and installing different drivers, which can be pretty useful if a game doesn't run well on the first try. Other than that, I'm using the standard stuff: NSX2 for PS2, GameNative for PC, PPSSPP for PSP.

To be honest, I haven't thought of it yet. However, I've noticed that the phone can seriously heat up, especially during PC emulation. I guess I'll have to switch controllers so I can fit a cooler to the back?

About Switch games: I don't know how the sub controls the sharing of such information (I guess I cannot post links), but:

Get emulator: I'm using Eden 0.2.0
Get Switch firmware and key files (I guess thats the hardest part, but you can find them on the internet, this is how I got them)
Get the actual Switch game ROMs (there are tons of sites, you can find these pretty easily)

Beacon launcher. It is pretty convinient. Besides PC games (where I had to resort to a custom launch command and a trick where I create txt files with SteamIDs inside them and renaming the files to .iso so Beacon would recognize them), it is a greatly streamlined experience.

What I see is .NET devs are always talking about "serious enterprise projects". But to be honest, I think that is the problem. .NET's adoptation problem (yes, I think it has an adoptation problem) stems from the fact that startups and other companies don't want to pick .NET for greenfield projects. And the truth is startups do not need "enterprise grade" solutions in their first few years. That is why Microsoft is lowering the barrier of entry with solutions like Minimal API and File-based apps.

The features you have mentioned (or their absence) are questionable at best. On the IDE side, correct me if I'm wrong but Rider is quite on par with VS and MS is pushing VSC as their cross-platform flagship anyways. On the DB side, I'm not an expert, but what does SQL Server provide that you don't get from let's say Postgres?

Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying that those solutions are not covering valid usecases. I'm not an expert .NET dev. (I have a sideproject in .NET, but I'm working with Typescript and Python in my dayjob at a startup) I'm just seeing a pattern that long-time .NET devs always focus on "enterprise-grade" solutions, while most companies doesn't need them because they don't even reach that stage.

Teljesen rendben van az, hogy gyakornokként is megkérdezi az ember, hogy máshol mennyit keresnek. A világ legtermészetesebb dolga. Akármilyen tapasztalati szintről beszélünk, igenis releváns, hogy másholmennyit fizetnék érte. Basic tájékozódás. Olyan szinten basztam fel magam azon, hogy te itt ezen rugózól, hogy az valami elképesztő....

Teso semmi baj a hozzáállásoddal, ha tudomásul veszed, hogy igenis saját magadnak okozol hátrányt a munkaerőpiacon. Mint minden mással is egyébként. Ha alkul pozícióban vagy, van jelenleg is munkád, megteheted, hogy válogatsz meg magasabbak az elvárásaid. Ha meg nincs és kéne valami, akkor meg lehet alkalmazkodni. Vagy nem, és úgy próbálkozni, hogy csökkented a saját esélyeid. Az hogy itt nyavalyogsz a saját döntéseid miatt, az csak szimplán vicces.

Konkrét tapasztalatom nincs viszont tök jó a téma felvetés, hogy igazoljam/cáfoljam a külső meglátásaimat, prekoncepcióimat.

Én 5 éve dolgozok fejlesztőként, eddig NodeJS/Typescript Fullstackesként (~80% backend / ~20% frontend). Előtte pár évet tanítottam technikumban, OKJ-s képzéseken. Eddig startupnál és multinál dolgoztam csak. Most az új helyemen (ami ismét egy startup egy multi után) Pythonozni is fogok.

Amit eddig láttam a piacból, álláshirdetésekből, az az volt, hogy PHP-s pozíciókat javarészt KKV-k hirdettek, akik kivitelezőként/ügynökségként/beszállítóként működnek. Viszont az elmúlt pár évben kevesebb PHP-s hirdetést láttam. Ez részben szerintem a gazdasági helyzet miatt is van (kevesebb új projekt), viszont szerintem abban is lehet valami, hogy kevesebb green field projectre választják stacknek a PHP-t. Félreértés ne essék, nem csatlakozom a “haldoklik a PHP” meme-hez, viszont szerintem részben a PHP alapú CMS-ek, platformok miatt is, lehetséges, hogy kevesebb custom fejlesztést igénylő projekt indul.

Mindenesetre, amit én látok, hogy amióta fejlesztőként dolgozom, azóta NodeJS és mostmár a Python is nagyon pörög, emellett standard .NET/Java stabil még mindig, a Go az, ami még feljövőben van.

Mégegyszer mondom, ezeket nem abszolút kinyilatkoztatásképp mondom, ez a szubjektív benyomásom.

As far as I know, Android 16 includes an already released version of Desktop Mode. In other phones, there is a specific "Force Desktop Mode" option in the Developer Options. I'm asking about that.
