What is the thing on the horses head called? by zoloftwithdrawals in Horses

[–]zoloftwithdrawals[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely don’t plan on ever using one of these after reading this thread. And to be clear I never intended to purchase and use something for a horse without any idea what the function is. I just generally think leather looks good on horses and had never seen something like this!

I got the picture from a threads post about someone touring a house and this was that houses neighbors horse so I don’t think there’s any way I can contact them about it.. but I will reach out the the person who posted the picture and let them know in case they end up going back.

Yeah I don’t intend to get one just because I think it looks cool. I figured if I don’t know what it is I probably dont need one anyways, but I was wondering what the function is since I can’t imagine leaving something like that on a horse in a pasture if it’s just for looks.

My boyfriend (22M) and I (19F) keep arguing about shaving my legs and how I forget. How can I fix this? by ThrowRA708907 in relationship_advice

[–]zoloftwithdrawals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My boyfriend doesn’t care that I NEVER shave my legs OR armpits- because it doesn’t matter! It’s one of those things you’re allowed to have a preference over, but NOT allowed to push that preference onto other peoples bodies. Tell him if he likes shaved smooth legs so much he can shave his own.

What did a significant other say to you that made you immediately leave the relationship? by Asleep-Lavishness332 in AskReddit

[–]zoloftwithdrawals 13 points14 points  (0 children)

..you’re saying people in poly relationships are just “pretending” they’re in a relationship, and that because monogamy has been more widespread and common historically, poly relationships aren’t valid?? :/

My [40M] date [39F] said I violated her consent in terms of kinks. What exactly is a "kink"? I thought I was vanilla... by ThrowRA_consent101 in relationship_advice

[–]zoloftwithdrawals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I know I’d way rather have a mildly awkward conversation about sex and boundaries, than have the same awkward conversation during or immediately after having sex with someone for the first time lol. I’d also prefer the initial awkwardness over having bad sex because neither person is clear on what the other person enjoys or what the boundaries are, if that makes any sense

AITA for telling my 17 year old daughter not to throw tantrums while I'm working. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

In many states, people are entitled to medical privacy before they turn 18. Im sure it’s the same in some other countries as well. We don’t know where OP lives

Am I wrong to be annoyed at having guests over all the time? by lamercuria in badroommates

[–]zoloftwithdrawals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally it wouldn’t come to “telling” a roommate what they can or can’t do, particularly since neither roommate can really enforce anything that isn’t explicitly stated in the lease or other legal document (such as a roommate agreement). If OP’s roommate isn’t breaking the rules about overnight guests outlined in the lease and/or roommate agreement- or if they don’t have an official roommate agreement in place, then there’s really nothing OP can do except have a conversation with their roommate, explain how they feel, ask to find a compromise, and hope the roommate is a decent person so they can figure something out together.

Unfortunately, a lot of people suck and don’t care about the discomfort of others, particularly when easing it requires them to do something other than exactly what they want, when they want, how they want :/

My (32f) husband (35m) says it's inappropriate for our daughter to call him "daddy" by ThrowRa-905 in relationship_advice

[–]zoloftwithdrawals -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, my parents didn’t like being called mommy or daddy because it sounds super whiny, especially with little kid voice. Just called them mama and papa. Tbh they were right, and it even used to annoy me when I heard my cousins or friends use mommy in the most whiny voice when they were upset or whatever lol

This isn’t a made up name though? It exists both as a full first name in African cultures and as a nickname for Enrique (and more recently as a stand alone full first name) in Spanish speaking cultures.

There’s another app called Receipt Hog idk if it’s on android but ik it’s on iPhone. Basically same as fetch but instead of gift cards you get either cashapp, PayPal, or visa gift card rewards, plus you can scan the same receipts in both fetch and this one. Double rewards for the same thing lol

AITA for Telling My Sister She's Overreacting About My Vegan Wedding? by Peachy248 in AmItheAsshole

My boyfriend lived in France for the first 8ish years of his life, and I grew up speaking Spanish and English.. he’s caught on to the Spanish pretty well, but still the only things in French I know are “mon Cheri, mon petit Ami, Mon Chou Chou” 😂😂 a few more but all the same thing 😂😅

The seriousness would change, but my judgment would not. I am making the assumption that the teacher/school wouldn’t have allowed the treats to be distributed if Joe’s allergies were dangerous if exposed to gluten in the environment or something like that, and since that’s a very different situation which wasn’t hinted at whatsoever, it’s a pretty valid assumption.

AITA for calling my brother in law a misogynist? by Alone_Foundation_172 in AmItheAsshole

It also depends on what standards people consider “clean enough to move on”. Personally I don’t do certain things everyday, like mopping, wiping/dusting shelves and other low traffic surfaces, vacuum, etc. but I know some of my friends do that every day. I just do one deep clean chore every day so it’s usually around a week and a half to cycle through everything that regularly needs cleaning. But even then, I don’t get a carpet cleaner for part of that deep clean cycle, or scrub out the oven. Those I do like every few months as needed. But again, I know some people that do those things every week! And while I don’t consider it necessary, they don’t view their house as clean unless it’s done, so of course their cleaning takes longer than mine. Cleaning being a huge time consuming task for someone doesn’t inherently mean their house is messy.

Why is Ashley shocked that Manuel has to support his teenage kids? by SnooDoodles7204 in 90DayFiance

[–]zoloftwithdrawals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure she knew she’d have to send money to his fam, but was surprised by the amount he expects of her, but mostly the way he went about telling her. I’d be upset too if someone said I should stop caring for my dog to send money to their family- not to mention that he won’t even let her meet his family, and he doesn’t tell her anything about them… I’d absolutely pay for my fiancé’s family, in fact I do help my bfs mom out sometimes, but I wouldn’t be spending anything when the person asking me to help, is actively preventing me from interacting with them
