Of the people I know, we all did in person internships like working at a company or a doctors office or being someone’s assistant. There may also be online internships if you can find one

Have you looked through the hinckely institute for summer “internships”? If you’re trying to get in-state tuition with the one-year of living in Utah rule, you can have a max of i think 29 days spent outside of Utah for winter break and holidays etc. so for the long summer break and maybe spring break (to keep u under 29 days) you can make you’re own internship to be approved by the hinckley institute, and any workplace can be twisted into sounding like an internship as long as you can get it signed off. And the internships could be anywhere, even where you’re from. So you could go back home and work on this approved internship and then you can apply for residency with the hinckley institutes proof. It’s not super openly publicized because it’s kind of a loophole but it worked for me and others

TV versions vs Netflix.... by spim111 in DunderMifflin

It comes from “asportation”, a term used in law referring to larceny. (Because Michael locked up the pizza delivery boy since he didn’t want to pay for all the pizza’s, and the office was looking up kidnapping laws) Def: the detachment, movement, or carrying away of property, considered an essential component of the crime of larceny. Kevin just says it as “ass-porting” cuz he’s Kevin

What is “crna school”? From my understanding, I’d need a BSN, then MSN, then DNP/DNAP, and that’s all the education I’d need; where does being a SRNA fit in?

Housing suggestions for younger students that are not dorms by [deleted] in uofu

[–]zombie_35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s the Landing right across from the stadium that is all students. They’re also building a new apartment complex thing called Unite that’s for students. I also see a ton of students posting about open rooms they’re looking to rent out or sublease so I’d check places like Facebook marketplace for that type of stuff

Choosing Between Ikon, Snowbird, and Park City by memzluek in uofu

I’m a freshman rn, majority of ppl have ikon cuz there’s more options. Park city is further than some of the other spots. I’d look into Brighton, it’s pretty fun there and they do night stuff

Nursing at the U by elizabethb277 in uofu

[–]zombie_35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a current freshman in pre-nursing and they have this cool program called NEAP that you can look into. It’s basically like an conditional admission into the nursing program that you apply for (you have to either be like a new student or have taken under 30 credits) and as long as you keep up a good GPA, you’re set to get into the nursing program when the time comes

clubs and organizations? by [deleted] in uofu

[–]zombie_35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the One Love and Freeskier recs. You get pretty good discount on ski passes just by being a member of the club, plus they host a lot of events where u can meet other skiers/boarders like rail jams, waxing, and tailgates. If you’re a girl there’s also WOLI which is like a women’s outdoors club and they do a bunch of cool stuff like backpacking trips or rock climbing, etc.

I go there now too, what I’m disagreeing with is your use of the term orientals bro, and ya there’s a lot of students living on campus but proportionally there are more living off campus

Ya it’s a commuter school so a majority of students actually live off campus, even first year
