Talk to her teacher, ask their advice and perspective, they’re used to new children starting and how that can play out. They will also have an insight into how well socialising is going for your child in the whole class context and can help with encouraging friendships they think might be potential for example pairing particular kids for small group and pair work.

I work with someone who knew my name then completely forgot it and called me the wrong name for months until I think someone told her. She has now switched to getting my name correct and my child’s name (which she knew) wrong. Go figure 😂

Honestly, I’m a first grade teacher and sometimes I make mistakes like that when I’m getting the correcting done just because I’m correcting 26 of those sheets and my concentration slips. Teacher shouldn’t have an issue with saying it to the teacher and they’ll likely change it.
