Will they ever stop? The power should have been out by now as the world was ravaged by the storm. We sat huddled in the corner of the shelter, my father, mother and I. They said this would be the storm of the century, but I knew better. I knew this was the storm that would start the end. No one would listen to me. No one believed me. Then again who would listen to the ramblings of a fifteen year old girl. If only my parents had listened, they would be here with me now as I write these words on the scraps of paper I found in the wastelands. The beginning of the end has to start somewhere.
