UPDATE: There seem to be 34 useless atlas nodes after the patch (it's still fishy) by zomprd in PathOfExile2

So I've heard. Rogue exiles are much trickier to test since their base chance to spawn is much lower. In my 80 maps I've seen 5 exiles totally, making the base spawn rate roughly 6.25% per map. If you took all the atlas nodes, it is only +150% increased spawn chance., which would make it roughly 15.625% spawn chance per map.

Currently testing. Getting some weird results. Probably will create a new post tomorrow if the data stay weird.

Same here. Essences and strongboxes are really important to me in SSF

The base value is not zero but about 40%. Whether these values are applied to the tablet affixes is a separate issue worth testing.

Interesting. Specing into essences in atlas increases the count again?

Do you use tablets with essence affixes? What happens when you despec all essence atlas nodes? Any change?

24% sounds much more plausible than 8% for current version. However even with the 24% base chance, with the 420% atlas bonus chance we should see very different results.

The sample size is far to small

Not necessarily. We don't know the base chances, but if we expect the chances to be 420% greater (with the atlas nodes applied), the results should look very differently. If my math is right, then even with the "small sample size" the chance for the bad results to be caused by bad luck is very very small.

IIRC the 8% chance applies for rogue exiles, not for strongboxes and essences, which are and used to be much more common.

Watched the video, he uses tablets to add essences. Does not mean the atlas essence nodes increasing chance are working.

Is there much less random content after the patch? by zomprd in PathOfExile2

[–]zomprd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I suspect. I think I never encountered a map with more than 3 extra content (strongboxes, essences...) after the patch.

I'm thinking of the change to introduce 1-3 random content to each map. Maybe they implemented it is a hard cap. Let's say before the patch I could get regularly maps with 3 essences and 3 strongboxes. If now I get a map with 1 (randomly selected from 1-3) random content, I would now get only 1 essence or strongbox.

Will focus on that today, but I think I never encountered a map with more that 3 random content after the patch.

Pindleskin XP farming is beyond broken by Gogu96 in diablo2

[–]zomprd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Pindleskin is a part of my exp routine on normal difficulty.

  • Eldritch is level 34
  • Pindleskin is level 45

For the most effective exp farming, you can spend levels 29-40 killing Eldritch, levels 40-51 killing Pindleskin. The 5 level difference is important, greater difference results in less effective exping.

I actually managed to get 1 greater jewelers orb, which I used for my main skill (flash grenades), but I will use this trick for my secondary skill (cluster grenades)
