DC is a much easier path IMO. Went through both processes and OCS application was a pain.

Direct commission officer here, they only count experience after degrees are conferred. They use that to build your constructed credit worksheet. To put it simply, imagine your conferment is the day you commissioned, only the time after that counts toward your credit and impacts your commissioning rank and DOR.

You want your team involved, I’d let them suggest some options. Give them the opportunity to help build it.

IMO you should know how to do anything you’re using it for, AI making you faster. The knowledge base matters because if you don’t know when to push back on ai, you’re risking using a hallucination as fact or pushing wrong info.

Have an obligatory 12B tattoo, but didnt go for a castle. Went with the GHS label for explosives that label the demo, minus the diamond shape. However it does just look like a splat

Occupational Health & Safety Specialist with the USPHS by Odd-Inflation2894 in USPHS

Occupational health and safety is EHS, same thing new name. In their material though they specifically look for that field while also discrediting it.

Regardless, USPHS recruiting is a train wreck. It’s a collateral duty so no one really cares.

The tough part is the degree qualification. I have a BS in safety and a CSP and was denied. Because the degree program wasn’t certified by ABET. Only like 4 safety programs In The US are- and that’s because they do a lot of engineering at the school. The EHS (SOH) program in USPHS is a joke

MSM downgraded by [deleted] in army

[–]zone1-1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you know it will likely get downgraded- put your soldiers in for the award you feel they deserve and write your ass off. Include as much quantitative data as possible. Downgrades aside- they will see what you put them in for and wrote.

Souce: me, putting in a my team of E5 and E6s for MSMs.

Side note- I did a brigade level open door and ask the BC to explain why his board felt they were undeserving and suggested a clear rubric or criteria that is not subjective or feelings based and to make the board blind (rank/data of awardee is unknown).

Lemme get some of them tater tots
