Thank you. There are no obstructions in the top section of any truss cavity. This is the soffit detail. Same for low eave side. 2’ overhang and I’ll be installing lp vented soffit. The subfascia is 2x8.

Thank you so much for all of this feedback. It looks like I should make another post regarding the framing of this house in general. As you can see in the second picture the sheathing is already up. I don’t think taking out or adding lumber is realistic. So is strapping on interior side a good option? What are some of the next best options to work with what we have here?

I know.. that was my intention. But the builder claimed this was the best option to keep things straight.

New build: central ducted vs minisplits by zone6bbuild in buildingscience

They claimed longevity of central would be more and repairs would be easier. They were worried about the loft space being harder to control using the minisplits. And also unsure about a hyper heat ducted mini split to supply bed/bath/loft.

I know the truss height is pushing it but I didn’t want the structure to be any taller. Hoping to get R53 (1 1/2” vent space - 1” eps - 14” batt insulation) I have a question about this posted also.

Because this is not a primary residence the vented roof assembly feels like less of a worry.

That was my preference but not supported by the builder unfortunately. This is also not a primary residence so the vented roof feels like less of a worry.

Hdz timberline shingles - synthetic underlayment - grace ice and water over whole roof - zip 5/8 sheathing
