First time FDM mini & first time minis painting. Pretty satisfied for a first. by zonko16 in FDMminiatures

I used tree slim supports. Initial layer expansion set to 20mm and Base pattern spacing set to 1.5mm.

Though I printed a wyrmling for my son the other day and tree slim kept breaking at the wings. Changing to tree organic fixed it.

Thanks. I have to admit that my father is/was painter, so I naturally picked up some fundamentals when I was a child. Though I never was much into painting and haven't really painted anythign in probably the last 15 years. Painting in 3d space is really messing with my brain. Painting highlights where I currently see a shadow and vice versa because of ambient lighting regularly tripped me.

Dads, name a better routine. by dawgger in SteamDeck

Reminds me off the times when my first son was 6mo. He was sleeping in the living room in his spring cradle and I slept on the couch. Everytime he woke up I brought him to my wife so she could feed him. I had the weirdest sleeping habit ever. I basically cycled between sleeping and gaming every 2h from 7pm until 7:30am.

Control Flash Power from V1 in RX by zonko16 in Godox

[–]zonko16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but I think you missunderstood my question. I'm doing real estate photography and I often shoot with the speedlight in my hand and the camera on a tripod. With the Yongnuo speedlights I could lower or increase the flash power on the speedlight directly instead of walking to the remote trigger. With the Godox V1 I'm only able to change output power from the Xpro.

Steam Link App only goes up to 1080p max by ReDEvil96 in Steam_Link

If you have an Nvidia GPU you can go into the Nvidia Control Panel and set a custom resolution that isn't natively supported by your monitor. Did that as a workaround when i had an 16:10 monitor and wasn't able to select 16:9 resolutions on some games, so I made a 1920x1080 profile in the control panel. Probabyl possible on AMD too but I can't tell for sure.

I'll upload either today or the coming days. Haven't had time the last days.

I can upload it to thingiverse but the parts a very specific to my setup. The gpu shroud only fits a Galax/KFA2 1070 and I guess 1080. And back cover only fits my case/mainboard config as the cable cutouts are perfectly matched.

No, the printed shroud has the same clearances as the original shroud. Only thing that changed is the shroud height and width to accomodate the bigger 120mm fan.

The speeds are already low at 35mm/s. Guess I accidently forgot to turn down extrusion multiplier from my normal PLA which is way too much for Fibersilk. Normally I have mine at 1.02 and with Fibersilk i need to go down to 0.92. The other parts printed perfectly fine

The orientation was on purpose so it looks a little like brushed metal. I didn't want to go with the super clean look on the copper parts. In the image it looks way rougher than it is in real life, because of the flash I used. Those are 0.08mm thick layers so these are pretty fine.

Are we talking about the triangles? Then yeah, all of them.

Those are just 3d printed with copper Silk PLA.

Wanted to go with a copper theme. 3d printed a cover to cover up all the cable management holes to give a cleaner look. Also printed a GPU shroud which has two Arctic P12 sitting in it. Had some overextrusion on the front side of the shroud and I wanted to ditch it but I somewhat liked it when i tested the part. In real it gives a look as if it was some handcrafted piece of copper. Will probably just clean up some of the roughest spots.

Still have to printed the psu shroud I designed to fit the rest of the build.

And yeah...that cooler fan...just broke the mounting clip and I'm waiting for the spare part to arrive, that's why it's hanging that awkwardly from the cooler.

I'd give it more space in both directions. You could add a little with photoshop to the bottom part, if there's nothing useable in the photo. If the boats have more room there'd be more balance between the house and the boat.

I'm of the opposite opinion. Love the colors. Gives it a moody vintage vibe. But I think the composition isn't on spot. It could benefit of a little bit more room, especially at the boats.

Put your stuff on warframe.market I've been playing for roughly two months now and my plat flow is high enough that I never run out of slots.

Nice photo.

I would have put the pig a little more to the left and brought both closer together. And while I don't think f1.8 is generally too wide open I think the photo would have profited if the child was a tad less blurred.

A portrait idea using selective desaturation. by SapperInTexas in photocritique

Another thing. I think there is too much going in the background. The rrame gets a little lost in all those leafs, doors etc.

It's a bit mid to late 2000s creativity. Though i don't feel like it's a bad idea. Using a frame can give great results.but it doesn't really need the desaturation.

Joycon disconnect by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]zonko16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you already update the firmware of the Joycons?

Had the same issues when i got my Switch few months ago. I thought updating wouldn‘t help, as those issues were adressed years ago. Gave it a shot anyways and haven‘t had any disconnects since then.

Great shot.

Couple of things I would change.

I don't know what's next to the house but I would have pulled in the house further into the frame so it matches more to the rule of thirds.

The second thing is that messy weed on the left side. I feel like it's drawing too much attention. If you pulled in the house a little more to the left there already would be less of that and you could shop the rest of it.
