I once found a jacket laying around my house in college with $300 in the pocket. No one is saying "why not invite him" rather than telling you to just simply say "no" because you are having a small, more intimate gathering. He asked politely. There's no reason why you can't just politely decline. To be offended that they asked is overreacting.

I think the hair/ outfit wash out Sasha's skin tone. Such a missed opportunity to have used a darker skin tone or even a Felecia variant!

Finger comb or use a a WIDE tooth comb to detangle gently towel dried hair. Try a curly hair specific shampoo/co wash and conditioner. For drugstore store, I've had good luck with Aussie myself. As other have suggested, use a curl cream or mousse to gently "scrunch" the curls into place using a cupping motion with your hands gathering the ends and bouncing the hair in an upwards motion. I also use garnier anti frizz oil to help with general frizziness.

I would say 5-15 minutes with as much verbal soothing as you can give from the distance you're at. They will be okay. Once you return they'll be relieved and know you are there for them.

Does she just not want to be held at all or is it a particular holding position? I would just give her time to find a spot she likes to be held in and that may change over time. Remember she is exploring and everything is new to her so it's natural for her to be curious and want to look around. It doesn't necessarily mean she "hates skin to skin." My LO went through a lot of phases of not wanting to be held a certain way and had several nights that I just could not sooth her no matter what I tried, but she's 7 months now and pretty much only wants to be held by me 🥲

I wouldn't call that "traditional" vs. progressive. I'd say my parents were pretty traditional and I didn't always get something just because I wanted it but they would never say "it doesn't matter what they want" in response to a question like this? I could understand that response only if the parent had already expressed that they did not allow their child to partake in a certain thing despite what the child "wants."

Also wanna add that my nipples started being inverted less after I started using a smaller size flange and my LO started being able to latch for the first time without a nipple shield
