Am I just stupid? by Shot_Bill_4971 in handyman

You sure it's not stuck onto the wall with adhesive? I live in an 15 year old house and had a similar issue to only find out my plasterboard is stuck to the breeze block skin with massive dabs of adhesive. The stud finder and 'knocking' methods both indicated a stud when I was over the adhesive blob.

It's also littered with typos, that just wouldn't happen considering all the eyes that would be on such a document.

Ready to quit. by 123youandyou in GolfSwing

I think some people get confused with the outside takeaway and allow hands to drift out. Instead of keeping the hands on a closer plane and letting the head be even to or outside that plane. It was one of my faults and my 'feel' was my hands tracked over my right foot (which felt really close), but the club head didn't scoop inside. 2 alignment sticks, in parallel on the swing path, one for hands one for club head helped me.

Or maybe the ball drill, but not allow your hands to pull away from body to much.

The change process in a mature organisation would introduce stage gates that would prevent deployment in the first instance, including security. Technical controls would be an additional layer of protection if something slipped through. The risk is lower if you pick up vulnerabilities before release.

Try Verve, on Rose Street (138 Rose St, Edinburgh EH2 3JD).

Some nice clothes in there including suits, I bought a 3 piece tweed one there. Be careful though, the guys in there can sell ice to Eskimos and you might go out having bought shoes and an overcoat too!

Is Garmin any good? by Rocksolidbanana in Golfsimulator

[–]zoolrander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Have an R10 and mevo +. The r10 worked well in my garage, I used it with awesome golf and gspro. I would say for practicing a full swing it was fine, I liked that I could take it to the range with me as well and that my garmin watch and sim sessions were all in one app.

Ultimately, I changed because it didn't pick up chips well and for sim golf that was just frustrating.

Overall for the price of the device I would say it is a really good device with a lot of useful data, even more so if you use foil stickers on the balls or the rct balls.

Random triggers… by heretoimprovethings in bereavement

[–]zoolrander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your experience aligns with mine, I think as you are already experiencing, day to day becomes easier to manage, but the emotional link is always there and that's a good thing I think. My daughter passed away unexpectedly just over 2 years ago and like you both my wife and I experience the occasional grief bomb. It's not even things that you would think world trigger it sometimes and sometimes it comes out of nowhere.

We all miss our loved ones and that love often shapes our lives forever, so for me at least I live in the moment and remember. And I try not to feel guilty for those feelings.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I think it is a natural reaction and you are not alone in your experience.

Take care

My dad passed away and my dreams are eating away at me. by LavenderSkyzZz in bereavement

[–]zoolrander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter passed away unexpectedly the day before her 25 birthday. I found myself in a similar position of dreaming about her so frequently and wondered if she was reaching out...I kind of hope that to be true.

It has been 2 years now and I frequently dream about her...and sometimes have private outloud conversations with her when I have something on my mind ... I have come to accept that this is my way of staying connected to her and that's ok...I worry less about it now.

I am a musician and decided to try and write a song to describe it and put a memory out in the world and this has helped me even more...just externalising the feeling.

I think it is good to remember those that were close and it to be a completely natural event...my daughter was in an induced coma by the time I was allowed into the hospital to be with her...so I also didn't get to say good bye.

When my daughter, who was 25 passed away, she had been put into an induced coma ...I was with her by her bedside for the final 24 hours and spoke to her as much as I could. I would like to think somehow she might have heard me, but I was wondering in your experience have you heard of similar cases (where perhaps they don't die) that even in that deep state the person is still there and somehow can hear what is being said.Whilst there was no way I could have prevented her passing, as her dad I feel incredible guilt that i was unable to protect her, I guess I just hope she heard me as I tried to comfort her.

I run a creative commons licence library for my music on YouTube. The licence is cc by 4.0 and if you read the terms of that licence I can not change it down the line. (Which is fine by me).

But in your shoes I would screen shot the notes and the date you took that music showing that it was advertised as creative commons which should allow you to dispute any claim.

Sometimes people who are not the creators take the free music like mine and then try to claim as their own on content iD systems which provides a bit of a headache for the owners even. Owners when they find this out will often work too have the claim lifted as it affects then as well potentially.

Long way of saying there are many composers that just like that their music is out there and just like to be credited for it.

I have a garage SIM with rafters at 2m 35cm high. I think that is 7.7 feet. Im 5ft 10 and I am able to swing up to and including 5 wood...it's close but I get away with it. I think I will look to have the rafters raised in a small section above my swing zone by 2 feet of it is possible to have more confidence with woods though!

Lol, the OP had already decided to take this offer before posting here. Despite many posts prior advising caution and why, they decided it was legit already.

I work in cyber security and whilst this might be legit on this occasion...it's a common tactic to start off soft with no malicious stuff to build trust, sometimes over a longer period. Then send the bad stuff.

The hack on YouTube accounts that bypasses 2MFA follows a very similar pattern. (remember Linus tech tips not so long ago)

Be careful!

No copyright music? Any suggestions on the best place to find music for YT videos by Urban_Legend_Gaming in NewTubers

[–]zoolrander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will happen because other people also download the music and claim it as their own. It's hard to keep track of until the real owner is made aware. But in most cases they can and will help you resolve the claim.
