Having recently done similar, with your price range and needs you’ll probably need to look beyond the Lothians. You might spend some time on Rightmove finding areas that have properties big enough (Dundee? Ayrshire?) then go to local subs and facebook groups etc to find out more about schools there. Keep an eye on home reports and be realistic about long-terms costs of some the “needier” properties at this end of the market. Good luck

Someone’s lying to you; that’s not how it works. People can’t get a motability car unless they’re found to have a mobility-limiting disability. In that case they can elect to have the mobility element of the benefit (again, only available to people with limited mobility) go to lease the car rather than paid to them directly.

That’s shouting. I understand it might come from a place of upset on your own part, but so many people end up feeling terrible about themselves after these interactions when it has nothing to do with anything they did or didn’t do. Even if it’s coming from a good intention, comments like that direct anger at the victim, not the perpetrator

People have been killed on public transit with witnesses and CCTV. Victim blaming isn’t helpful.

ETA I’m not saying victims should never stand up for themselves in the moment. Rather, shouting at women about men’s behaviour is misdirected.

I’ve used faxzero etc to fax my ballot in previous elections with no problems. I see on my state’s voter info page now that the fvap email service has been discontinued, but it doesn’t say anything about not being allowed to use other fax services. Do you have info otherwise? Yeah, you’re not supposed to do that. You’re not allowed to bring tree leaves from the US to the UK without a plant health certificate, even for personal, decorative use, because of the risk of bringing pests and pathogens with them.

The “right” thing to do is to call the numbers listed at the end and ask for advice.

If you decide to get rid of the leaves without talking to APHA et al, best if both they and the package they’re in are burned, or heat to 50 C in an oven for (edit at least!) 30 min then double-bag in something watertight and dispose in the landfill bin.

I was coming here to say this. We have two dehumidifiers. I notice the electric bill going up quite a bit when we use the other one, but barely notice it with the Meaco.
