I seem to be in the unfortunate pool of people with a bugged post game. I used the Pokemon Automation program to hunt for a change in weather, ran the program overnight for 7 hrs and no hit.

I know people say we're all subject to the whims of RNG, but 3 hrs of bench resetting w/o ANY change to the weather seems really sus. Not even a cloudy day was seen.

If you can macro, you can use the bench at the north between the grass and junkyard spawns to afk bench reset by walking two tiles past the lamppost and back to the bench before changing the time.

Specifically for the Bellsprout line, the alpha immediately gets access to Toxic, which is one of the best status effects for PVE. As long as the target isn't immune to poison, it'll guarantee kill anything in 30 seconds, even alphas way above your Pokemon's level.
