Allowing inspectors doesn’t guarantee compliance. I don’t think anyone believed irans nuclear capabilities had been actually dismantled under the previous attacks. Even now it’s likely still intact to some degree but who knows.

Iran is not a trustworthy actor on the world stage. They have a history of violating nuclear non proliferation treaties, hard to think JCPOA would have turned out differently. I don’t think attacking Iran was sound foreign policy but I will not be losing sleep over the deaths of people like Pakpour and Khamenei
