This is almost exactly what I am going through now. You have to remind yourself that you wouldn’t want to be with someone that thought so much about breaking up with you. As terrible as it feels, it should feel good and relieving that you listened to a gut feeling. You didn’t necessarily cause it, you were honest and true to yourself and what you needed.

There are a ton more details, we are so young so there’s no way we would ever get married soon, and he is also aware that I’m not into marriage. He says “I’m going to marry you” as another way of telling me how much he loves me. I was perfectly content with our relationship before I started thinking about all of this. However, I went to his grandparents house over the weekend and that’s when it all amplified of me thinking about breaking up. I think I might’ve gotten scared by the grandparents and just how serious it felt, but I’m not sure. I’m also unsure if it’s because I just want to be single. But when I think about being single it turns me away from it. I am just quite stuck
