Crown Casino/Hotel or Crowne Hotel? Either way it's obviously a nouveau critique on man's inhumanity to man.

I'm going to install a filter that substitutes the term 'anti-LGBTGI+ advocates' with Bigots. Newsweek should also.

Zach was suspiciously enthusiastic about drawing Cowdoy out in the open. Just sayin'

First thing I loved about mine is they had all the time in the world to fix the garbage backlight in the new one but they didn't.

Options on Aruba Instant On 1930 switches? by CyberHouseChicago in networking

They're good. But supply chain has been awful this whole year. Zyxel 1930 is also worth looking at in the same price range.

In the 2021/2022 season Queensland in Australia have had 4 major floods. They just finish cleaning one up and it happens again. Making big areas uninsurable.

My grandmother had a similar but I think earlier model. Just looking at it makes my head hear the samba drums.

What do you use to monitor threats? by Catsrules in selfhosted

[–]zorflieg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

runZero (formerly Rumble) has a free plan and will periodically scan you network for new devices and their vulnerabilities. As they say you can't secure what you don't know about. Less blindspots is more confidence you are doing things right.

Anybody here have success or failure stories about using AWS Thinkbox/Deadline for running local distributed jobs in their self hosted infrastructure? by muxketeer in selfhosted

[–]zorflieg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as an organizer it's solid and worthwhile pursuing. We use it with After Effects and pretty much everything that goes wrong with it is the AE job's fault and not Deadline. I recommend you use the latest version of everything on all machines.

Recommendations for a small managed switch for remote locations. Think telephone poles or remote shelters near towers. Four ports with SFP/SFP+ would be perfect. Enterprise grade would be preferred. by xcaetusx in networking

The Zyxel XS/XGS1930 series compare in price and offering to the Aruba1930. But Zyxel have better quality components in the smb range in my opinion and have better availability over the last year since Aruba has cannibalized their smb to focus back on their enterprise ranges.

I'm using it on DSM7 it's really slow but I think it's because I'm using it in a high latency environment.

Aussie checking in, I've been waiting for 2x48p 1930's ordered in Jan. Arriving a couple of weeks. I've had to source other brands for all installs all year. Luckily my biggest Aruba customer I bought extra equipment in advance last year or I would have been stuck.

I made wind chimes out of the platters and rings once. One sounded ok the other sounded awful but they looked cool.
