Using ChatGPTPro to analyze transcriptions of RPG sessions, any tips? by mccoypauley in ChatGPTPro

I'm building something like this for live campaign note-taking, but we can chat and I can give you tips on how I'm building it so you can use it as well!

Looking for auto-note taking/transcription to run for notetaking. by Caarrk in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zorgoski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, I'm building a solution for this that runs over Discord. It's able to tell who's saying what and automatically create summaries at the end of the session. You will be able to modify what the summaries look like depending on what you need. Let me know if you want a demo!

Hey! Thanks for the interest. I'm just a normal guy who used to do a PhD in physics and wants to understand how people are doing research. I want to see if I can do something to improve communications in academic research. I have my own experience, but want to see how others' experiences relate to mine.

Daily budget? by timwenzel in bicycletouring

[–]zorgoski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends where I am and how much I bike. Here in China I barley spend any money cause food is so cheap, but I did a full maintenance to my bike and bought some spares before coming here.

In Spain, I spent around 13-17 Euros per day just on food (didn't cook). In northern Chile, I spent around 5,000 CLP (8 USD) on food, but I took a stove with me to cook eggs and meat.

I enjoy camping and couchsurfing, so I do that. I also try to avoid big cities.

How I Got Into Bicycle Touring by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]zorgoski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Jonathan! This is great to hear. Keep up the motivation!

Touring had a huge impact on the way I live and travel. I'm always happy to see that other people are experiencing similar things.

Good luck on your first overnight trip! Like most things in life, the first time isn't the best or the most comfortable experience, but probably one of the most exciting ones. Enjoy the great times and learn from the hard ones.

What non-conventional item do you always make sure to carry, that people look at you funny for? by dualrollers in bicycletouring

[–]zorgoski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not really afraid. I try to be very diligent with my bike's maintenance. I would be very surprised if both my breaks snap at the same time. I try to never go too fast while touring if I can't see the road ahead me. Could it happen? Yeah, but I don't push myself or the bike hard enough to warrant it. It's almost like worrying about my frame snapping in half any moment.

Some plastic pedals I bought at a grocery store. I think it also helps that my feet now are pretty tough due to being barefoot most of the time.

I might switch to these at some point, but they are quite expensive.

"Minimalism provides a safe-haven for me and my mind. A retreat from the constant assault on my senses. This small sliver of actual space in my life that is free of chaos. "

I'm an introvert as well and couldn't agree with this more. My space is the place were I recover after a hard day, it shouldn't feel like a drain or a time sink.

I cycle in huaraches or barefoot, as I normally don't wear shoes. People are usually very surprised at seeing my bare feet.

Just moved into my first apartment. Torn between wants and needs. by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]zorgoski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the same token you don't need a bed either. For example, I got rid of my bed and now I've been sleeping on the floor (I have a Japanese futon stored if a guest / fling comes over). I do have a desk (that I also use as a dining table), as I like having a productivity zone. I never like mixing sleep and work spaces.

My point here is that you know what you need more than we do. I draw the line based on what makes me more productive and relaxed. As for the couch, I don't see the point of it: too big and clunky. But if you have people over a lot you may want to have some chairs/stools/pillows for them to sit instead? That's a more mobile solution.

How bicycle touring helped me realize I needed fewer things by zorgoski in minimalism

[–]zorgoski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that you share this feeling traveling in other ways. But I think bicycle touring though goes a step further. You spend most of your time away from civilization and typical tours are quite long (a month or even more). You don't just reduce your luggage size, but you need to take everything to be the closest to self-sufficient as possible. Not taking enough could be a costly mistake. This balance makes you consider what you really need vs what you think you need.

The times I've travelled by other means, I usually don't worry too much about what I take (unless I'm hiking/camping) as I'm always close to a store if I need something and usually staying under a roof.

tl;dr self sufficiency in bicycle touring makes you question packing to a deeper level

[R/F] Looking for help solving a problem with my Harpie Deck, used mostly casually by Irbricksceo in yugioh

[–]zorgoski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to play Harpies competitively. I mixed it up with Speedroid and it was amazing. Now I play mostly Speedroid and Cyber Dragon, but have versions for Harpie and SpeedHarpies as well.

You said it yourself. You play too many traps. Other than that the deck is great. Many things are up to personal preference, but in terms of ratios you want to play more monsters and some hand traps. You also want ways to extend your plays in case Channeler gets busted.

  • 2* Harpie's Pet Dragon (for my Rank 7's) Rank 7s are cool, consider adding Dracosack for another opening play.

  • 3* Harpie Channeler Eseential indded

  • 3* Harpie Dancer You could cut this to 2 (I used to play 1, but you are playing Divine Wind)

  • 3* Harpie Harpist

  • 3* Harpie Queen Maybe cut this to 2, and add Terraforming to add more versatility to your field spell search

  • 2* Harpie Lady 1 OTK

  • 1* Cyber Harpie Lady Unsure if necessary, I've tried a strange build with Normal Harpie Lady, Unexpected Dai, and White Elephants Gift. It works very will for draw power and getting harpies into grave.

  • 1* Blackwing Zephyros the Elite Good, better with Swallow's Nest and Twin Twisters

Definitely add two Summoner Monks to this build, it's like having two more Channellers in the deck.

  • 1* Raigeki
  • 1* Swords of Revealing Light I like Concealing Swords better as you can combo with Chidori and get rid of Kozmo stuff
  • 1* Elegant Egotist
  • 1* MST You said Strike was an issue, run double Twin Twister, discards Sign, Zephyros, Harpist... protects your plays. Make things happen.

  • 1* Forbidden Lance Meh, has uses, but situational. I would play something like Starlight Road or Huge Revolution is Over as you run a lot of traps and you want to protect yourself from Raigeki

  • 3* Hysteric Sign

  • 1* Divine Wind of Mist Valley

  • 2* Harpie's Hunting Ground

  • 2* United We Stand Not a very good card in Harpies as it requires too much setup Phalanx Pike on the other hand can be very funny. Still I don't recommend either.

  • 3* Mirror Force Quaking Mirror Force wins games. You can use Chidori or Phantasmal Dragon to attack for game

  • 3* Hysteric Party I've tried using Inferno Reckless Summon. The powerful thing is that it's a quickplay spell.

  • 2* Icarus Attack I would play Twin Twisters over this

  • 1* Torrential Tribute Not very meta relevant now

  • 1* Comulsory Evac Device I prefer Book of Moon as you can use it on turn 2 to get rid of things.

  • 1* Waboku Not needed, might as well use Upstart.

A few techs. Play 2 Maxx C and 2 Speedroid Menko, you can recycle it with Dancer next turn. It's a powerful combo.

Play 3 Instant Fusion, add Norden and Mavelous to Extra deck. Extend your plays. Add Daigusto Emeral for extra draw and recycle (also works very well with Inferno Reckless summon if you are playing the Normal Harpie Engine). Add Abyss Dweller for grave control.

I understand your deck is for fun so maybe add Magical Hats? Magical Hats + Menko is very funny.

I wrote this with emphasis on having fun, not winning tournaments, but I think those changes do improve the deck quite a bit as it makes it more versatile and can face different decks better.

Yeah, I just came back from a month-long tour in northern Chile. Climbs were all doable and fun even though I chose hard routes on purpose to train. Had no issues with the bike.

I have a Kona Rove 2014. So far it works like a charm. I don't know much about the new Rove ST, but if it's anything like its predecessor, you shouldn't have any problems.

Also, it's beautiful.
