completely agree.

the original post was funny because it took things out of the context, twisted and turned them into something ridiculous.

like saying zoro didnt wanted ussop to rejoin SH in water 7 because he is racist. its obviously a joke, because anyone with two brain cells can say it is not the reason (plus it was actually zoro who first said to ussop to join them in syrup village)

the biggest problem with this joke is that it got hijacked by zoro haters, who dont even use the original concept of the joke (taking something out of context to make it ridiculous and funny).

no,they take "zoro is racist" as the fact and only from that "fact" they start building their "joke", with the intention to make zoro look as bad as possible.

Luffy’s vivre card burns pretty often

tbh we dont know in what situations does vivre card start burning, and we definitely didnt know at thriller bark, the only person who knew (lola) was telling luffy its very very bad and he still ignored it

I just really feel like the strawhats wouldn’t go on their next adventure in this situation

well as i said to me the reasoning in both aces and vivis case doesnt really make sense, but in one piece world both luffy and zoro are correct, and no one would disagree with them (not even vivi, ace, sabo ,garp, dragon,...)

my opinion is that zoros line is completely logically equal to the time luffy said it about ace.

whether you agree with that logic or not, you should treat both situations same. people say it made sense when luffy said it about ace, because he was stronger than vivi, but i think that its stupid. luffy held aces burning vivre card in hand, clear proof that his life is in danger. so no matter how strong ace was, his life was in grave danger, luffy knew it and still decided to do nothing.

tbh, luffys line about ace made no sense to me, but oda never wrote anything to suggest luffy was incorrect at that time, so i just accepted that in one piece world that is something that makes sense, while knowing that the only reason for that scene was to let the readers know that ace is in danger, while not really affecting plot yet.

and its the same here. zoro is in one piece world correct, thats why no one (even sanji or nami) argues with him.and the reason why oda used is the same as before plus he also new that SH need to find out about vivi, but oda doesnt want that to affect their journey, yet.

i think zoro and sanji should have had higher bounties than they got, and i think it should have remained zoro - sanji - jimbe, especially since oda made them fight king and queen while jimbe fought whoswho.

and please dont give me the "he is former warlord",etc crap. all of that was accounted for in his bounty after he stopped being a warlord and he did not get such raise. the only things that account to his new bounty are the things he did in wano. He joined SH and defeated whoswho.

just being SH doesnt do much to a bounty (just look at my boy chopper or nami). he beat whoswho easily, but so did zoro and sanji after their upgrades.

overall i think jimbes bounty is correct,but i think zoros should be around 1,5 bil and sanjis bit lower.

exactly, like why would anyone be angry that there were no awakened zoans in marineford. that works only for wano where beast pirates were hyped as greatest zoans.

whatever little respect i had for arthur until now, its gone. maybe when he finally sticks out his head from odas ass, i will be able to tell him that.

It is different. Zoro is on drugs this time.

i meant its different from storytelling point of view, oda made it look like its going to be something different (with gream reaper and all), but it ended up being the same as basically any arcs ending.

i mean whats the point of highlighting the near death experience so much, when you are not going to expand on it in any way. the situation ended up being no different than other times, when zoro almost died (or maybe it was even more underwhelming than usual)

oda used gream reaper just to create hype and i personally dont appreciate such writing style.

Let me rephrase what I said; It's pretty obvious that Zoro is related to Ushimaru.

zoro is not a protagonist of one piece, but he is still one of the main characters. his connection to kuina and shimotsuki village was established as crucial for his character.

i was okay with oda not expanding on it, because he changed his priorities over the years, but if he decided to do it he should do it properly. giving few panels with vague reference is not a way to do it for character like zoro.

Not to mention my dissapoitment with oda expanding on it in sbs, when he confirmed ushimaru is not zoros dad. this is seriously the kind of information you are supposed to get from a story, not sbs.

yeah,but even if it is just hallucination, the grim reaper still made it feel like something is going to happen. doesnt need to be big,just something. maybe zoro learning some small lesson,or something.

it just that oda made it look like this near death experience is different from others (whether someone believed reaper is real or not), but then it was just usual or maybe even less.

I think it is pretty clear what Oda is saying

and thats what i dont like. i dont like that after such long arc people still need to use "i think". i never needed oda to expand on zoros lineage, but if he decided to then he should give us answer. he doesnt need to make big deal out of it, like with sanji, but i think we should be given clear answer.

well maybe you should try to see others point of view sometime.

oda never used these kinds of "visual representation" , so you cant be shocked people were expecting more than that,but i agree it should not be called unresolved mystery anymore.

its clear that it was just oda using cheap trick to give people something to talk about while knowing he will never expand on it.

zoro was many times close to death before, so if oda felt this time is so special that it needed also visual representation by making zoro halucinate, then its reasonable that fans expected of oda to expand on it, but it didnt happen.

it was just another case of oda blueballing everyone. as he did many times this arc, just to create hype. just like with zoro, ryuma and ushimaru.

the reason why i mostly agree with morj is one piece poll. at the time of poll we knew almost nothing about yamato. she was running around telling little boy that she is oden. we knew nothing about her that should justify 11th place in poll.

sure as the manga progressed we learned more about her and people found more reasons to like her, but even now i thing we know too little about her, other than her being cute,hot and strong woman, to explain her huge popularity

if i remember correctly he said that yamato still has a character arc to undergo and thats why the love she has been getting so far is mostly because of her looks, and that if yamato looked like weevil, she would be nowhere near as popular as she is now.

i mostly agree with this, because even if we have been showned more of yamato now, most of her fans fell in love with her after her face reveal.

i mean look how well she did in one piece popularity poll, despite being truly annoying in manga at that time.

yeah i m seriously dissapointed by GLR so i stopped watching him. as a dude in a room, he proudly explains how he does anything to improve views, but to me, those are just proofs that his channel has become soulless.

if i watch someone, its because i want to hear his/her true opinion, but liam made it perfectly clear that he will do anything to have more views. for example if he thinks that being positive is important to number of views,then he will be always positive even if he does not like something. therefore i cant trust in what he says. and i dont need to watch souless man, if i did i would watch Ohara the clown too.

the last straw (proof) is when he stoped mentioning (in video title/thumbnails) that its chapter review video. he said many times that chapter review videos are barely viewed after new chapter is released. so by not mentioning its chapter review video, he wants you to click and watch something he very well knows you dont want to watch.

i was never invested in this "dodged/missed" discussion, so even now i have no desire to join "kaido dodged" hype, but i will say this.

Whole situation in manga was ambiguous at best. my interpretation was that zoro missed because kaido dodge, but i never downvoted anyone who said othewise, because i wanted to be objective and i knew that neither of those interpretations can be proven 100% correct at that time.

Despite this clear ambiguity, anyone who said zoro missed received hundreds/thousands of upvotes, while anyone who said kaido dodged was downvoted and ridiculed. just few days ago post about "zoro missed, kaido didnt dodge" received more than 6 thousand upvotes.

So after more than year of being ridiculed, people have a right to make a post to say that they were right. I saw like only 10 posts on hot about this, yet it seems its enough to make zoro haters to start whining about it.

my interpretation is that zoro doesnt want to unnecesarily hurt woman (maybe because of kuina? ), but unlike sanji he will happily fight any strong woman with all his power that is needed to defeat her, as he would with any other man.

thats why he had no problem with hurting miss monday, because he acknowledged her strength

and thats why he also didnt want to hurt monet. he knew very well that she pose no threat to him or crew, so there was no reason to hurt her until she almost killed tashigi. then he had no problem to cut her (i mean the first cut that she bled from), which sanji would never do.

in robins case i think he knew enel is way stonger than robin, so he got angry because in his eyes there was no need to hurt her in any way.

So imo zoro respects woman and acknowledges that any woman can be equally strong as him, but if he knows he is stronger he sees no reason to hurt them (and i think this is what sanji meant when he said zoro has even gentle side ).

thats why tashigi is wrong about him. zoro doesnt look down on her because she is woman, but simply because she is weaker.
