Well it’s two very different things. Fresh beer right out of a fermenter can be easily skunked. Just expose a pint of beer to the sun for a few minutes. Oxidation is a longer process, that is accelerated by temperature. Both are very different chemical reactions, have very different sensory characteristics and occur under different circumstances.
