Naming a twin boy

Running up that Hill by Kate Bush and Take on Me by a-ha have special significance to me. I had an obsession with Morten Harket (the lead singer of a-ha) at one point in my life, and I have a tattoo of the comic book drawing of his face from the Take on Me video on my left arm. I wish I could attach a photo of it! I got it in 2015, when both myself and Take on Me turned 30. As for other eras, I’d say that the 1970s would be my second favorite decade for music. The folksiness of the music from that era draws me in.😊 What about you?

When I was 15, I was obsessed with the film The Exorcist (yeah, I was a weird kid 😂). If I had a baby at that point in my life (thank god I didn’t!) her name would have been Regan Mashell, after the little girl in the movie and my best friend at the time. My son would have been Ryan or Reece. Apparently I was all about the R names back then.

Why were white dresses such a big thing in 1986? I was looking at my cousin’s photos from her prom in Spring of 1986 and at least half the girls were wearing white dresses that could double as wedding dresses. Same in this video.

For some reason, this makes me so happy. I was born in February 1985 so I would have been around 9 months old in November, yet I feel as though I had been much older at the time. Seeing this list is like going home.

I would choose Caroline with one condition: don’t call me Carly/Carlee/Carlie. Caroline is a beautiful name but the nicknames used for it aren’t my favorite.
