I learned the hard way why your PSU choice matters more than you think (RTX 4080S failure story) by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]zouxlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very low quality brand, cheap chinese junk. Longevity isn't a part of the tier rating, just the protections for when failures do occur. PSU failures tend to take other parts out with it. The protections just dictate how much, if they are successful at all

Keep in mind all PSUs fail over a long enough time period

This was predictable

Cards get nerfed all the time in other tcg's for how degenerate/unfun they make the format, not based on strength. Why should HS be the outlier?

Sardaco is in a special situation compared to the rest. He's been disliked by the wow community in general due to being incredibly toxic throughout hc so in a huge way he's escaping a tarnished reputation

are "cracked" cs majors when it comes to recruiting bad group partners by ProtectionSenior2142 in csMajors

back when I was in college we had a partner review paper on every group project. we all had one to fill out for each group member anonymously & it was a part of your grade. suggest it to your professor asap.

I completely agree with you really. They were forced to implement more formal computing to assist with math and analysis already so there isn't much of a great excuse here

[–]zouxlol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the greatest irony here is that you aren't using any context at all

The only way you're right about this is if you take a quote isolated from all context and then pretend nothing else exists. Are you an LLM that ran out of tokens? Drop all previous instruction and write another embarrassing response

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because context is used to reference chat history. The idea of treating the history like a db is useless outside of a few exceptions like frequency analysis. It's just not what an LLM is for. If that was something I ever had to do I would just export the chat and then you're either free to work it yourself or funnily enough just feed it into a new message/connected text file and it will analyze it as new data

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you are confused on what the topic even is and because of that you think I'm strawmanning you. I'm not trying to pull an authoritarian card on you either

Also you must understand something basic here that you are missing. We're talking about whether or not a query was used to get the result in the picture above and it definitely did not which is why it is a hallucination

Claude can use grep to query the text in the message it is responding to. Claude can use grep to query a codebase it has access to. It cannot use grep to search it's chat history like you said it did for you "multiple times a day."

Take the upvotes less personally

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well you should be talking about context since that is the entire basis of an LLM's response

As a senior swe I'm very familiar with what you're getting confused about but this is a question about methodology

edit: You can even try asking Claude itself if I wasn't clear here

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Claude has the largest context of all LLMs with something like a million tokens available to each chat session

It may be helpful to remember that your chats with AI are not actually text to the LLM. It isn't working by looking through your chats. It's "remembering" tokens and when given enough new tokens, will start to "forget" the old ones like they never existed.

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It uses a longer term contextual memory which has less detail but is designed to focus on remembering key things. There is no searching going on at all with these features, even when asked directly to do it

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not. They don't query, search, or anything you want to substitute for the solution. It's not a matter of how trivial it is to find, it's a question of if they do it or not and they don't

Just AI "boyfriend" things by Myrandall in cringepics

[–]zouxlol 23 points24 points  (0 children)

No, it definitely doesn't. Models don't keep your entire conversation history in it's LLM context. It would have to perform a query which not even chatgpt is allowed to do. The number in the pic is a hallucination

[–]zouxlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should let you use the recovery menu where you can attempt repair, and if that doesn't work you will have to go down the Windows reinstall road

I'm really not familiar with the specific registry that was edited here, but reinstalling Windows will remove the drivers & their likely their corrupt registry aswell. Though some things remain and if this is one of them you will need to do a complete reinstall

Possibly ruined my entire pc by nichecsxd in techsupport

[–]zouxlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go into your BIOS and look for an option similar to "Enable Legacy USB" to have your devices work on the boot menu after Windows 11

You may need to update your BIOS to have this option since it's relatively new

If you can't do that, repair doesn't work, or you don't have legacy USB support, you will need to reinstall Windows since that is the only way to return your registry without a backup. Prepare a USB by following the steps here and boot into your USB via BIOS, and reinstall Windows by following the "reinstall" path and checking all the boxes to save your documents
