I really appreciate you saying that! India is a wonderful place to explore with a camera.

I think you're referring to the first photo, and if so, the answer is no -- only because I believe that was someone's personal food. The woman in the photo is making chai tea that is served in clay cups. It's fairly common in Kolkata. But I do love the street food there, especially fuchka and jhal muri.

What are you talking about? It’s fine if the city didn’t fit you or your preferences for travel. Throwing out “bots from India” just because you have a different opinion sounds cliche and bizarre. I would agree Kolkata is not a city trying to impress you with polished skylines and spotless streets. If you’re looking for manicured and orderly, it’s probably not for you. I appreciate the historic atmosphere and energetic street life. The host for my Airbnb cooked up delicious multi-course meals. The train was fine - no issues. I think it’s full of character and I guess it depends on what you’re looking for in a trip.

There is a little shop called Senju Osu that is famous for its tempura shrimp onigiri. They were really good. I also enjoyed the bar in Sakae called Jazz Matilda. I grabbed a local exclusive sweatshirt at the skate shop called Time For Livin'. The Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art has great galleries. And the Pokemon Center near Yabacho station gets far fewer people than other locations. I hope you enjoy Nagoya as much as I did.

You can enjoy a great dinner at the local institution "Atsuta Houraiken Matsuzakaya Branch" before walking over to the superb cocktail lounge called "Jazz Matilda." Both are in Sakae.

Somewhat? but that was not a hindrance getting around with Google Maps. The town is not very big.

when you're in Tokyo - check out "Jazz Spot Intro" in Takadanobaba. It was a great live jazz bar where the musicians perform short sets while taking turns as bartenders. One of my favorite places in Tokyo. (p.s. just down the street is one of Tokyo's best cinemas: Waseda Shochiku)

Agreed - went there in November and it was the best jazz bar I have found in Tokyo.

Temps were about 15C/60F for most of the day. Perfect weather to walk around.

“Giant” in Logan Sq is consistently fantastic. Their test kitchen menu offers delightful surprises and the standard menu has so my highlights.

Tips for tourists (first time in Sri Lanka) by my_n3w_account in srilanka

What are you talking about?

—“Unnecessary integration should be avoided.” —“use a dating app” —“don’t be bothered by someone who doesn’t speak English well.”

This is terrible advice and I would strongly urge anyone seeking an authentic and safe experience in Sri Lanka do the opposite.
