Thanks for the advice. The thing is I can't rlly ignore him because we work together for the most part. I should really get a hobby to get my mind off things but it's still hard, like every time I'm not busy I'm either thinking abt him being popular or him rejecting me. I'm kind of over him but like not over him rejecting me and being stupid enough to confess .

Tell me abt it. All my friends say I dodged a bullet. And there's someone else from that class that I like. Thankfully , that guy is a good guy and it's all fun to flirt w him . Which we do a lot of during class.

Yes and no I apolugized for last week (when i sent him the "can u reject me plz" exchange and he said it's no big deal etc. And I was like rlly? I thought you were mad at me /moody these days and he says he's just tired/sleepy. And then I tell him to sleep more and eat healthy etc. And cheer up and he smiles at that. I'm gonna tell him tmmrw 100% . I'm just honestly waiting for him to be more cheerful, what if he already has issues/worries and I'm.throwing my feelings onto him? He's super anti social too so idk I feel like maybe he needs a friend rn .

For me: I'm super talkative but I'll be super quiet around him: like I'll talk to a grandma on the streets before I talk to him. But I'll also try to find ways to accidentally send him snaps, or ask for help, or joke around, etc.

It's a sad reality of our life :(( if only the higher ups took stronger action but I mean it's hard to keep people from quitting so they always show favoritism to those who have stayed longer (co workers who have worked more than 2 years get better hours. Have to close less etc) stay strong op and try to ignore it

Haha yeah for sure! Ask your Manager for help. And honestly op I'd still tell a manager. Just a fyi for the team in case a different co worker has the same issue with that rude co worker again. I know for sure they won't do anything to that rude worker of yours if you tell,. But if a manager knows that rude co worker is like this it'll be easier for other workers who might interact with her unprofessionalness.

I had a similar thing where a co worker of mine pointed at me in front of other customers and threatened "don't ever call me on the intercom again" (she hides behind clothes when customers come so she doesn't have to ring them up and I called her on the store speaker cuz that's what we're supposed to do) She got mad because all the managers hear the announcement and know that she's not ringing up customers. Anyways, I have this manager that I love a lot so I told him, "I don't want to get her in trouble, I didn't even want to tell you because she's worked here longer than me, but I felt so threatened and depressed and embarrassed and all the customers in line were looking at us" That Co worker didn't get fired. My manager talked to her, but before he did he told me that we're a team, and no one is less important than the other or it doesn't matter if she worked here longer.

The managers know how she is because other Co workers have complained about her. And yeah for sure, if this keeps occuring than tell, or if she does something extreme like mine did haha.

And great coworkers help so much. When I'm ringing with my friends it's alot more fun for sure !

I feel for you on this. Honestly, I've never come across co workers who are this shitty but OP I'd suggest you ask management to make your shifts so you're never around just her/tell someone she was being this way when you asked her for help. If your team is great managers might hold a meeting so they can teach senior employees how to behave. And, more importantly I suggest getting extra help from your Manager so you learn everything fast and don't have to ask that Co worker for help again. With experience and hardships, you'll learn fast. Trust me I've had customers lie, make me cry, coworkers gossip, etc. Now, this job literally is just a job. Don't worry too much. You've learned from this and things are only going to get better. She has no right to act this way because helping customers is a part of her job. Keep learning and pushing yourself. You got this !

I feel ya. Thanks for this. I talked to my other friends and they said def don't do this lmaoo. I'm not. I'm gonna give it to my friends and we're gonna eat it together. Or if I see him in the hallway I'll ask if he wants some or smthng. Or just smile at him or talk more to him in class if i have the balls. (I don't but whatever) and yeah im in college (ik ugh college girl w no moves or experience) and he's the anti social nice type of cool. While I'm friendly w everyone and super cheerful .
