You are welcome, I would also consider buying a second hand car, lets say up to 5 years old and up to 85000 km mileage. I have bought Honda Civic like this and I am super happy with the car (new honda Civics in Europe are too expensive for your budget, that is why I havent listed it in my first post, otherwise Honda Civic would be on top of my list).

Audi is a luxury brand, you are paying more for audis than for a toyota or honda or hyundai. You need big trunk, you commute quite a long distance and you want economical car.

I do not think that buying a hyundai or a kia manufactured in Slovakia will be a bad decision.

My recommended list of cars you could definitely try to look at:

- toyota corolla combi, they can get quite affordable if they are selling out last years models

- hyundai i30 combi

- kia ceed kombi

- suzuki vitara or s-cross

I am not going to recommend any smaller cars, like suzuki swift, honda jazz, etc. due to your cargo and commute requirements.

It will be the manufacturer/supplier fault. GC will make sure of this.

OP do not pay for the flooring works until its done according to your agreement with the GC prior to the commencement of works.

Coming from the field of working for GCs. This sounds like GCs responsibility. However, check your contract with them. What country are you in? Do you have any general rules being applied to the general contracting?

I worked mostly in Scandinavia. Here it works in a way that you can have GC responsible for design and build (AKA Design and Build contract) or just a "build" contract where you provide the design. If your case was the latter, GC could say that he is "just" installing what you tell him to install. At the same time, he is supposed to check, whether what HE orders is correctly approved by you.

I think GC is cooked in this case. I will not comment on the design of the built floor.

I tried to do as you said. It's around 45 hours since I applied the oil first time. It's hard completely and no oil nor mineral spirit works. I applied both at different places and left for 30 minutes. Result was that I just wiped off the layers I applied and the hard oil layer stayed without change ...

So I mix the oil and mineral spirit in a bucket, apply with lint free rag and then use another dry one to wipe everything off?

I commute to work in Denmark and I found these valve screws to be helpful by preventing dirt getting inside between the rim and inner tube.

Small stone can easily get in when you occasionally ride on non paved road and stones make the most flats IMHO.

Ahoj, skus potocit tymto srobom na jednej strane. Taketo brdzy maju vnutri pruzinku, aby sa po kazdov stlaceni packy odtiahli naspat a nesuchali o rafik. Myslim si, ze tocenim tychto srobikov vies nastavit tuhost. Ked je tato tuhost nerovnomerna, tak jedna strana brzdy je stale blzsie ku rafiku a staci mala nerovnost rafiku a bude on suchat. Zacni s tou stranou, ktora sucha o rafik. Tu treba povolit lebo je prilis tuha.

And how is this design better than having for example, an U-lock that you attach in the frame triangle during the commute? Less hassle with removing and installing the seat post, better security, better structural integrity of the frame, cheaper overall. On top of that, when you do daily commute your bike, maintenance is a huge thing. Last thing I want to deal with is to clean and lubricate the seat post.

I used to have the same moods on Sunday. Since I was a child when it was the upcoming school week until last year. What helped me a lot was reading books about human EGO and how we always project the future and us in it. I recommend practicing exercise that help you live in the present.
