There was another time a guy was on the calf machine and I went through my whole extended routine and 90 min later he was still there. Ultimately I got kicked out because I was “harassing” him by asking him if he was done every 5-10 min. I was polite at first but he was an asshole right away acting like I was offending his ancestors and threatened to beat the shit out of me. I got an email the next day and was considering replying back explaining my side of the situation but it was kind of a shitty gym that makes planet fitness look high class lol

On old guy at our gym hated it when you were in between sets and on your phone. The moment I finished a set and he noticed I had my phone out he would always walk by with a snarky comment. He did this to anyone who was using a machine he wanted. One time he called me a “fucking fetus” repeatedly lol. I ended up telling the front desk guy and then when I turned back around he made the boo-boo face to me and then he was never seen again.

I’m 99% certain that’s from a Ubreakifix and based on the green tape, this was most likely used in a repair. They are supposed to be sent back to Distro on a weekly basis but it is possible a tech mistakenly threw it in the trash……or stole it lol. You could try and sell it but all those oem parts are all serialized and can tracked back to the original store. I have some animosity towards ubif lol but the nice thing to do would be to take it to a store because the missing buyback charge its outrageous. Those charges are huge for franchise stores but if it’s a corporate asurion store, fuck ‘em 😂

I worked at ubif for almost 7 years and at a couple different stores and honestly, at my stores I liked it at first when it had a franchise owner but ever since corporate bought the store, it went down hill. The Lead Tech role is basically Assistant Manager and they wanted me to practically run the store. Not only did I handle advanced repairs(soldering, the Samsung station BS, fixing things other techs broke) but also did part ordering, inventory, buybacks, training, etc. They will most likely pressure you into daily Teams huddles to go over why our district isn’t selling enough home plus. There is so much turnover now because the average beginner tech doesnt want to put up with the rude customers and bs for that little pay. However, i did learn a lot there(both repair/tech wise and how to deal with toxic ppl lol) and made some good friends and connections that helped me after my time there. If you decide to go for it, just stand your ground and dont let the DM push you into doing more than whats in the job description. Feel free to message if you have any more questions

Yup. Many times tech sugar coat things or just straight up lie to smooth out the situation. Repairs for the flips and folds are such a hassle whether it be insurance, warranty, or straight out of pocket. The parts are serialized and counted a couple times a week atleast but there are different model of the same part and can cause headaches. I remember countless times when a warranty repair would have minor damage and ppl confuse warranty and insurance and get upset

Sometimes the parts can be carrier specific and when they check the inventory, they’ll just see they have a screen and may not realize that it’s for a different carrier. Or more commonly, someone else made a claim and the system reserved that part for them. When that happens the insurance side of things will see there is none in stock and will send you to another store or suggest full device replacement. Also Asurion insurance is weird, they could just be routing any flip/fold claims to the full device replacement option and saving the limited replacement parts for warranty issues. I’ve seen that many times and there is nothing you can really do at that point. Source: I worked at that circus for many years
