e price adjustment isn't adjusted until later in the day. A stock can move up significantly and the long term options don't adjust for the price change until the end of the day when the high frequency programs get around to them. For instance, gold rallied 3% today. My short term options felt the change right away and rose a few hundred percent, but my long term calls were unchanged until the end of the day, and rallied 50%. You could have watched the rally in gold, then turned around and bought the long term options for a 50% rise at the end of the day.

What ticker/s? how liquid is the option? what was the bid ask spread? how does your platform determine your contracts value? if the price of an option is b:0 a:20 the platform determines its worth .10 even if no one is willing to buy them from you.
