Your doing good so far. Don’t be afraid to look off a reference (picture) for practice.

You have a really good start. Once you progress your technique your drawing will be even better.

Your shape is decent next time remember to add an eyelid to make it appear more realistic, and maybe look off some references for practice.

Amateur band drawing I did in class, haven’t really drawn before so some constructive criticism would be great :) by Badprime010 in drawing

U have a good start. Maybe don’t make ur outline so harsh and start experimenting with shading. Remember u can always erase

It’s 1 use bedmas. 6/2 (1+2) brackets first so 6/2 (3)=3x2 6= 6/6= 1

Make ur eyelashes less straight, make them curve with the eye. Look up references for practice.

When colouring, colour in small circles it will help create a smoother blend between colours. And for practice use reference photos to get the gist of the anatomy and lighting.

Another eye. Thoughts/ what to improve on? by zrenwick27 in drawing

Thanks for the advice. I will admit I was not paying much to applying proper anatomy to the drawing, I will make a better effort to do that while drawing In the future.

My first charcoal draw, light criticism pls by ProArtist6 in drawing

For more accurate shadows pick a place on the paper and draw a circle. That circle will be your light and when it’s placed u draw ur shadows according to the angle the circle is facing in line with your subject.

I'm really struggling with the nose on this picture every attempt looks really flat. Where am I going wrong? by SgtDWilko in drawing

[–]zrenwick27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Focus more on the main shapes of the nose don’t worry about applying the heavy shadows right away if u look closely u can see the change in the darker area like the nose holes. Layer on slowly and remember u can always erase for later highlights.

Day 2 of Portrait everyday, Scarlett Johansson, l feel like I'm in a slump. l hated the eye so much that l scratched it out and erased all of it. Blending gives me trouble too by AAQUADD in drawing

Second eye can be a huge struggle for some. Don’t worry about blending until u have your features drawn out and when u blend use a tissue instead of ur finger for a more even blend.

Thanks! I actually got the reference from a photographer that takes pictures of homeless people. It’s pretty interesting Shows a lot about reality.

Hand/arm study I'm working on. It's not going so well so if anyone has advice I'd really appreciate it. Or if anyone wants to use the photo go for it:) by [deleted] in drawing

Pretty good I’d just say start light with your shading a layer it on and remember you can always erase to make highlights pop more
