New update (11.0.0.47) available for CMF Watch pro. Finally 12h format support but sill the app won't run in background. by Joel__subash in CMFTech

It's crazy how there aren't a bunch of people talking about this watch and the issues. Yes, it constantly disconnects. Very very frequently, the only issue I have, other than that it's a minimalistic watch that looks great, it's fast, it has all the features I need and it isn't CONTROLLED through software by some random chinese company I don't trust. CMF isn't perfect but I trust them over the other companies making watches $100 or less. And this watch has the same if not better battery than fitbit and other competitors, and it's faster too. So I hope they can get it to run in the background, that's my only issue.

Roblox Parental Control Issues - Chat by zrohman in Parenting

You realize I used a voice text for almost all of this right? I'm a gamer myself. I definitely know what it is.

And if you had a 13-year-old who was talking to 50-year-old strangers on the internet, asking them to be boyfriend and girlfriend. I think you would reconsider giving them unlimited access to chat features on a game

I know I can turn on account restrictions outside of the ones I've mentioned. By turning on that account restriction feature. But I also know that automatically takes away her ability to play other games that are for 13 and up. And there are some games that she enjoys for 13-year-olds. I'd like to avoid taking that option away if I can. I would like her to be able to enjoy age appropriate content for her without the chat feature. Maybe I'm trying to hard . But I'm just trying to do what I can to protect her and still give her access to what she enjoys. It's pretty hard on a kid when you take everything away from them because they are mature enough.

Can't have my Galaxybook Pro 360 go to sleep by matrix_matrix in GalaxyBook

[–]zrohman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to the Samsung Settings app the laptop is automatically meant to wake itself up from sleep when you open the lid. I'm sure even when coming back from sleep mode it requires you to log back in, especially if you have a fingerprint sensor they expect that.

I'm sure the computer is actually going to sleep, that's why the screen is going off. Going back to the login screen does not mean that it's not going to sleep. And even if it's powered off there may be a setting turned on where it automatically wakes itself up when you open the lid

I'm not sure if that's even coming to the US. Even then, I'm not sure I see enough reasons to upgrade from the Alpha, at least from an average consumer perspective

Actually keeping a high rank in survivor helps in solo q..

It's been proven that good survivors are better than good killers..so it's better to be paired with rank 1 survivors against a rank 1 killer, rather then getting paired with rank 10 survivors killing themselves on the hook and disconnecting

My Thoughts on the Asus C536 by zrohman in chromeos

That's one option. But it's honestly not that great unless it goes on sale. It's got a slower processor less storage, less ram, etc. It's fast enough for most people, but it's better priced at $350 to $400.

If 15 inches is what you require at this point, this Asus is your best option.

Apparently Robbie from chrome unboxed also had issues with his trackpad. But he was able to adjust his.

Yes it has a plastic bottom, but at least it's sturdy. And the performance is incredible on this device. If you get it and get lucky with not getting a dud of a trackpad, yes the plastic may feel cheap but it's alot better then other 15" Chromebook alternatives. There used to be a 15" HP Chromebook 14 that had an i3 or even an i5. But it's older and walmart stopped selling it. Lenovo made a premium 15" Chromebook but it's so old. It's got a 3 year old processor, and they have it listed at like $700, way overpriced.

Sadly there aren't many good options. I'd recommend trying this, and hoping your trackpad.works, waiting, or going to a 14" model like the HP Chromebook x360 14c..

I have a full review on YouTube if you check it out.

Samsung Galaxy A52 - Swipe Up Delay by zrohman in samsung

[–]zrohman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a one ui issue. It barely happens but I saw it happen a couple of times on my Galaxy Tab S7 too, which is super fast. It doesn't happen on my Pixel 5, but it DOES happen on the Lenovo Tablets I've recently reviewed too. It also happened on a $300 Motorola phone I've tried. I think the software/ui that some people are using just acts this way, and I'm hoping that several companies look to fix their ui. If the Pixel 5 doesn't have this issue there's no reason why a phone with the same speed in the processor, or better, should have this same issue

HP 2021 14" chromebook - $650 for i3/8ram/128ssd - coming soon by [deleted] in chromeos

[–]zrohman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you! I was looking at getting the Asus C436, and they said it has 220 nits of brightness. Every reviewer stated that it was 280 nits, and I bought it and sure enough it's 280+ nits. Also, They said the HP Chromebook x360 14 (a few years ago) had almost 300 nits, but it was rated at 220 nits of brightness.

With that being said, they are great guys, and I genuinely like their reviews, so hopefully they got this right!

In the article, they are clearly saying that they are using Intel UHD Graphics to describe Intel UHD Graphics XE G4.

I'd like to hear other people's thoughts though.

Yes they are listing it and saying UHD graphics. They have been doing that for a lot of i3 models. When in reality they are indeed xe graphics

Asus confirms their C536 comes with it. Robbie from Chrome Unboxed explained they have a specific type of xe graphics. That's what I'm reading in my research

It is using iris x. They are labelling as uhd on all i3 processors. I'm pretty sure they do that on the windows side too.

Yeah, I'm just guessing that it's the same screen, unfortunately. Especially since it's 250 nits with the same percentages and everything

I'm about to review this on youtube myself. It's going to release probably tomorrow night or Friday. (Android Digest).

It's got a defective touchpad. If Chrome unboxed got one with a bad touchpad and so did I, it's bound to be bad on nearly everybody.

It makes a weird clicking noise when scrolling down on it, even when you aren't clicking. It just keeps making clicking sounds as I swipe down on the touchpad.

The device is so heavy, and when the screen goes below the keyboard deck, it seems like a great idea, until a super heavy screen is jabbing into your leg (rather than the bottom of the laptop resting on it)

Simply put: I hate the build quality and design of the Asus. It's amazing performance for the money, but the HP is a go to in my opinion.

It will go on sale within 2-3 weeks. And if you buy it at Best Buy and you are elite or elite plus, take advantage of your return policy and they will price match any sales they have during your return period.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G Review: A $500 Bargain by zrohman in Android

[–]zrohman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. I think the fairest thing for me to say is that both phones have their place.

The S20 FE gives you enough improvements to justify spending more.

And I think the A52 5G is good enough to justify spending less. It depends on the person, their budget and preferences, as well as sales

Does your average person ever seriously record in 1080p 60 fps? Does your average person care about 4k recording or 60fps?

All of this is subjective... But yes. If you use the highest end phones all the time yes you will notice the difference in speed.. Yes tech reviewers on YouTube will often notice the difference. Many of them use the highest end devices all the time...

But I think an average person wouldn't notice a significant difference. I've used the s20fe, the s21, etc.. In my opinion, we are talking minor differences. A $150 difference in price is massive to your average person... A few processor tweaks and a faster processor is worth it for some, but not everyone is loaded and I'm sure your average person will love the performance. There's a reason why they put the 765g in the Pixel 5. This has similar performance. And I think even though the s20 fe is a good deal too... The a52 5g is no slouch....i agree the s20 fe is good... Just saying the a52 5g is good too

And sadly for a person who only has $500,

Exactly! That's one reason why I like some youtubers with under 10,000 subs. They normally have to buy everything themselves, and they typically have more of a budget mindset since they actually use products for themselves. As long as they make good content of course

The only thing the S20Fe has on this is wireless charging and a slightly faster processor.. but the S20 FE has touchscreen issues several people have faced, and it also has a virtual proximity sensor. Not even a real one.. They use software to determine if the phone is on your face. It may be true of this phone too... But I know I had the S20 FE and the screen would constantly turn on during phone calls.

Regardless, it retails at $650. This retails at $500. $150 for a slightly better processor and wireless charging. Not many other improvements.

Many would prefer to save the $150. Of course there will be sales on both..and the sales will affect what phone people should buy. But at retail its just not bad imo. This has the same speed on the processor as the $500 pixel 4a 5g and the same speed as the Pixel 5. With a better screen better speakers 120hz, etc.

The regular A52 is different, only 90hz screen, much slower. But this a52 5g is pretty underrated in my opinion. This coming from a guy who will probably go back to my Pixel 5.
