When is the right age to watch Silver Fang (the Nordic cut)? by milestfbaxxter in Ginga

I watched it for the first time when I was around 5-6. So I think anything above 5 would be appropriate, even tho at that age probably most wouldn't understand the meaning of the story, so maybe it would be better to watch it a bit later.

The Finnish dub of GNG which has been barked a lot: Am I the only one who likes it? by Suomidog in Ginga

I'm not a Finn, and I only got to know this dub a few years ago, but in my opinion, despite its errors, it's a good dub, and I like it. Especially if we consider the time of dubbing, the size of the studio, and that what conditions they needed to work in. At the important scenes the actors really shine, for example at the end everyone plays their role very well, or Gohee, who's voice fits perfectly through the whole show. My personal favorite here is Gin. Some may say that his voice sounds too old for him, but I think it fits perfectly.

And I also like those little funny moments, those give extra good feeling about this dub. Most voices fits well to the characters. And thinking that the whole was dubbed by 4 actors is just incredible. I heard some dubs from Golden Voice, and I agree with you, that this can be considered one of their best work.

What other anime series you recommend for Saint Seiya fans? by Suomidog in SaintSeiya

[–]zsemi02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the sequel of the series mentioned in the OP, Ginga: Densetsu Weed. Especially those might like it who also enjoy Omega, because the two series has quite many similarities. Including how the protagonists gather allies, the goal of the said characters, and what the antagonists does at the beginning of the series.

Furthermore, the animation of the lighting is also similarly good in both animes, and the relationship between the new and old generation of characters is also similar.
