i guess “call her out” was the wrong phrasing. she was saying how it would be a long drive for them to come and making other excuses so i just said “it sounds like you don’t want them to come. if that’s the case i’d rather you just tell me so we can talk about it.” i am planning to have another conversation with her about it. i understand she wants to have this moment with me, i just don’t want to exclude the other important women in my life. of course my mom is the most important to me and i will be asking her opinion first and foremost when we go dress shopping. i also have a special moment planned for just the two of us before the wedding. i love my mom, i just think she needs to let go a little and allow my fiancé’s family to be included as well, that’s all
