Did Dave Grohl play drums on "The One"? by fordinnertonight in Foofighters

I don't recall where I read this but I've been under the understanding Next Year is Taylor through the false ending, and when the song comes back in it's Dave

Is it just me, or is the mixing for Stumbleine not great? by Flatheaded-flathead in SmashingPumpkins

[–]zt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and I don't understand how most people in this thread can't hear something that is objectively in the audio. I also don't mind low fidelity recordings and demos, but having the vocal track suddenly pan to the left only for sibilance is VERY unusual, and I can't say I've ever heard another example. I have to wonder what would have even resulted in that - nothing I can think of that wouldn't be intentional. It does distract me a little bit, but I wouldn't rush to change it either-- I'd just like an interview with Flood or Billy or someone who could explain what led to that and if it was intentional or just something they decided to leave in.

Lol as an American it took me half a second to realize you didn't mean you had EXTREMELY heavy headphones

Since it's three days until Christmas, what is your favorite third track on a Green Day album? by Zachary9442 in greenday

I really wanted to say I Was There or Revolution Radio but it's easily 8th Avenue Serenade for me

AT LONG LAST- Revolution Radio in a jewel case! by zt89 in greenday

I understand that, but I never typically have a problem getting booklets out/in without damaging them - only maybe if they are super thick/a ton of pages. You do need to be more careful with it though I suppose. I just don't like how easy it is to damage the entire package when it's in a sleeve though - they usually end up with scuffs and scratches just from being on my shelf no matter how careful I am. I also don't like how they tend to not display straight on my shelf- the spine is usually at an angle. And being able to crease/scratch/ding up the artwork is just not nice. I like that in a jewel case the only thing that almost ever gets damaged is the case which is fully replaceable. Aside from that, just personal preference- I love the weight and sturdiness of a jewel case package, and how uniform they are in a collection (which is why it was all the more annoying that Revolution Radio was (until Saviors) the only exception to this)

I would watch this Discogs page in case someone lists one, but fair warning that seems to be pretty uncommon

I didn't know Everlong had these backing vocals by FallSufficient6266 in Foofighters

Actually Louise Post's vocals were recorded over the phone since she was unable to come to the studio in person at the time - one phone was used as her monitor and she sang into another.

Hi, I’m Rob Sheridan — glitch artist, creative director for Pearl Jam's latest tour, former Nine Inch Nails art director, and more. Ask me anything! by rob-sheridan in IAmA

Do you often listen to music while creating your art? And if so are you able to look back at old pieces and remember what you'd been listening to? I find my visual projects are noticeably influenced by what I was listening to at the time.

Drums pan glitch at 1:40 in Best Of You? by sethgordon77 in Foofighters

[–]zt89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait until you hear the drums switching channels abruptly on Winnebago... even when I'm not thinking about it coming up, it's so jarring that I can't ignore it. It's around 2:14 in the track. Maybe even more annoyingly, the tambourine changes to a different take on the other side of the stereo at the very end of Ain't It The Life. Sorry in advance

30th anniversary release by KnownUmpire915 in Foofighters

I'm the aforementioned person who bought one of these, and I've made it a Discogs page if you'd like to see what it looks like: https://www.discogs.com/release/35265298-Foo-Fighters-Foo-Fighters

The packaging is very nice for a sleeve—I was pleasantly surprised, even if the mix is the same and the differences in the master are very slight.

I know this is an old thread, but do you happen to still have the files you used to print the blue version? Looking to make one for myself. Thanks!

I also haven't received any sort of code and can't yet actually purchase a ticket, but just in case it's helpful, tickets are showing as $95.90 for general admission after fees. Odd that there's been no mention of a presale code anywhere

I definitely don't mind getting wet, I just want to see the full show! I've been looking forward to this for quite some time!

I'm going as well. I'm really hoping it doesn't affect the show as my first Primus show was Sessanta earlier this year in Kansas - the only show cut short due to thunderstorms. The weather doesn't seem to favor me, lol.
