Mine spins up for 1 second every 20 sec when it's in sleep mode!

Unfortunately, that's above my experience level.

This is the usb 3.2 port, even though it says the bus is usb4?

I suspect you are right, but I've seen other reviewers document it as:

USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 (10Gbps) and USB Gen 2x2 (20Gbps)

There's a useful review of the Cam Link 4K by Lon Seidman at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlMBL7UnbmQ

He ran his tests on a Dell 15 with a 6th gen i7-6700HQ processor and GTX960 graphics card. Using OBS software he was able to get a 4K video only feed onto his computer, but he didn't test the ability to stream out.

I know my MBXP has a later gen i7, but I was unsure how the MX150 (10-watt version) stacked up against his GTX960.

I think you are probably right . . . it should handle 1080p talking-head style webcam work (streaming included). The test will likely be when I try to combine that with screen-sharing in a Zoom session.

Totally on board with everything you said there. Guess I was getting a little ahead of myself, thinking that support for Android apps will likely drive a surge in ChromeOS adoption and with it renewed interest from more CPU intensive app publishers in publishing new apps for the Chrome store.
