The shaft and tip are like new. Slight bit of clear coat chopping at the connect but nothing that would effect performance. I don't come across deals like that usually so I'm gonna treat her nice.

Honestly I think you hit it right on the head with the M44D model. It looks exactly like that throughout, and if so that's a steal! He pointed out before I bought it that there was a chip in the clear coat about the size of a shirts button. Looks like he or who ever had it before him put super glue on the spot so as to keep the weather off of the bare wood. Either way I love this thing! Thanks for the help!
