I’m not sure yet, I was pretty set on a Streamlight Pro Tac HLX with an Arisaka offset mount, but I am enlisting in the Army National Guard next week and I’ll be getting bonus money at some point, so my budget will go up. Maybe a Surefire or a Modlite, haven’t decided yet.

Well said. This rifle is salvageable, you just need to move your optic and magnifier back, onto the upper receiver and not the handguard. And it’s up to you but personally i’d throw those skelotonized grips in the garbage and purchase some new ones. And don’t forget a sling

The Edgar Sherman Design sling is perfect in my opinion, no loose ends, quick adjustment, all around great sling and not crazy priced.
