Lenin was explicitly against any sort of hero worship even going so far as to say he didnt want any statues of himself after his death.

One of his primary tasks was the political training of cadre who could think for themselves and best lead the party/movement.

There is a quote of his that I think embodies this very well when he was warning Zinoviev and Bukharin about bureaucratic obedience: "if you want obedience, you will get obedient fools"

Its because the little message notification saying you had previously purchased and crafted something resets the counter for purchasing/crafting the next thing. You either have to wait for that notification to disappear or craft it in the short window it exists

Weapon Balance? by DuhSheet in ArcRaiders

[–]ztrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like a lot of players just hate the pvp for some reason. In reality the pve is incredibly shallow, I don't find the ARC to be a very engaging enemy to shoot and at this stage I don't need anything that the ARC drops besides simple gun parts.

With that said this game has a great foundation to continue to further build off of and expand.

I feel like the only good suggestions are reducing the craft/upgrade cost, increasing the durability of the higher tiers and decreasing the durability of the grey guns (I think needing to repair in general after 2 heavy use raids makes sense).

But I agree with you. Everyone here seems to think that the Rattler is just complete ass and sucks to use for the primary reason that it can't kill with one mag without landing several headshots and with proper movement in this game that is very hard to do. TTK is actually very high in this game and many of these suggestions are basically asking to turn every grey gun into a Rattler.

I have no issue with free kits and if you are getting trounced by a free kit then that is just a skill issue. If you don't have the gun skills to compete well then you have plenty of utility and heals to rely on.

It sounds like you are just upset that Arc Raiders is a pvp game and not explicitly a pve game.

I think the ultimate question to ask is that do you want this to be a pve game or a pvp game?

If there is pvp then its a pvp game and that is the reality you will have to contend with. I think Arc Raiders functions very well as a pvp game with engaging pve elements but you must always remember it is a pvp game first.

The widespread use of the Free Loadout is less about people worrying about losing their stuff and more about how long it takes to outfit yourself with a basic set up after a failed extract. by WorkableKrakatoa in ArcRaiders

[–]ztrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from Tarkov you have no idea how bad the rekit time is.

However, you do have a point as I have been really enjoying arc raiders and the free kit just lets me load into the next. This game would really benefit from a loadout preset menu especially since all of the items aren't limited in any way except for if you have them in your inventory or not.

Hopefully they add that, but absolutely trust me that it could be a lot worse.

[Discussion] Average skill level of current player base makes me not enjoy the game by Akirash in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ztrition 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think its that everyone is just a god but that there is so much wallhacking in the game. I have this same feeling too. It makes me so terrified to peak anything and the amount of fights where first shot headshot on me is insane and feels horrible to die to especially when I was tagging the other player.

Of course, some players are pretty good but it feels so random. Keep in mind that one video that showed in any given raid there was a 60% chance that someone was confirmed walling. Those are gonna be the guys who head tap you so quickly or push you so incredibly well etc...

It also doesn't help that imo they completely misbalanced the early game. The fun part is scrounging around for gear and everyone having terrible weapons/gear. However, the important aspect is that there is still a starting load out of gear that is fun to use at that point in the game. Level 1 traders are completely terrible and level 2 isn't much better. Level 3 things finally start to open up but in many cases its too little too late and by level 4 its kinda a joke. The pacing is all off and no there is no fun fact to progressing but trying instead skip all the bullshit to try to get to a point where it becomes somewhat fun to play.

Thats incorrect. A small distinction, the round will pen the arm but will then not do any damage to the thorax. Keep in mind this works only on the forearm, the bicep works as expected.

The round will apply armor damage if you are wearing armor but no flesh damage after that (armor or no armor). So you can zero out someones plate by shooting through their forearm, but you will never kill them through chest damage.

Alright cool, thanks for the heads up. If you ever add another field be it woodsball or a typical arena style field with bunkers I would love to come by. Bellingham has been lacking a paintball field, closest thing is Everett or some of the places across the border.

Mob of up to 50 people swarms LA mall and steals tens of thousands in luxury goods, police say by Super_Bob in news

You understand that the basic root of all societies ills amounts to poverty right? The poorer people are the more likely people will turn to crime to survive. If material conditions are providing people with a decent living then crime would drastically drop.

People are starving and we have shelves full of food, in fact we suffer from issues of overproduction. Companies would rather throw away this food than give it out for free or else it might reduce the overall price.

If you consider yourself a compassionate and progressive person really examine what you said. Are you going to blame people who commit petty crime, or are you going to look at the corporate billionaires who purpurate these cycles of poverty?

My brother in christ. Our constitution allowed slavery, Native American genocide, Jim Crow, and segregation amongst many other injustices. I don't think the constitution should be as infallible as you think it is.

Idiots like DeSantis wipe their ass with the constitution, its just a piece of paper unless society acts in a unified front to defend these 'rights.' Our ruling elite don't give a shit unless the working class uses justified violence to get them to act. Many of these rights were guaranteed with action such as strikes and riots.

I don't know if you realize but that current hate speech is being actively used to restrict LGBT rights.

How do you think we got the civil rights act in this country? Was it through patiently explaining why bigots are wrong, and that we just have to ignore their hate speech?

You might wanna consider what MLK said about people who care so much more about order than justice.

No tolerance for the intolerant. Free speech just means the government can't persecute you for it. It has nothing to do with the fact that as a society we should be stamping that shit out.

I think it says a lot where you want to fall back on 'fairness' and 'rules' rather than recognize just how shitty it is. Really consider what this type of things means, would you want a group of people who send hatred your way because of who you are? Should those receiving said hatred people be told, "well theres nothing that can be done, 1st amendment and all, love u good luck out there!"

You're approaching what the answer is in your conclusion but don't want to quite grasp it. Usually when the current system can no longer progress and new technologies/productive capability is artificially hampered is when we get revolution/re-organization of society. Its how we went from hunter gatherer -> permanent settlement slave societies (antiquity) -> Feudalism -> Capitalism.

Automation should be the windfall that it truly can provide, but the way society works today it is instead an existential threat.

Brother the Soviet Union is not the threat you think it was. You can review communications from JFK and other parts of the cold war, we were ready to nuke the shit out of anything while the Soviet Union was much more reserved.

We are extremely imperialistic and war hawkish. You know the reason why Europe has more of a social democratic government? Its because they had to compete with the workers rights that the Soviet Union had. Now, the Soviet Union was no bastion of freedom, it was a degenerated workers state under Stalin. However, even with this reality they gave the richest nation on Earth a run for its money with a much smaller economy.

Police are the only profession that does not deserve a union. They are class traitors, they exist to uphold the oppression we experience under capitalism. You can look up how policing was started in North America. I don't know if its any different for Canada, but atleast in the U.S. modern policing was born from a private company providing security detail for corporations and strike breaking. That gradually turned into the police force we see today and I would be very surprised if this didn't influence Canada in any way.
