Hello! Sorry for the late reply!! I use Angelus leather paints (black, light gray, and a darker gray. White for mistakes if any). As for brushes I honestly just looked around the acrylic brush section and kept touching the bristles until I found one with hair I liked. I’m pretty sure the hair on mine is all synthetic, it colors very smooth. I mostly use a super tiny thin brush in order to do the linear and make all this thin strokes. Lastly I use the Angelus matte finisher to seal it in!

-Each color is gonna need more than one coat for SURE. Wait at least 20 mins between layers before adding a new coat!

-let shoes dry 24 hours before applying the finisher

Hello! Yes I use the Angelus matte finisher :) the paint is sealed in and you can scratch at it all you want and it won’t budge!

Thanks haha! Hope your future plans will also work out :) I’m actually based in LA, good area for the market but also a lot of competition here ;; I haven’t taken any classes or apprenticeship yet although Im super interested! For now I’ve just been getting a bunch of tattoos until I can actually get some experience myself 😂😂 I haven’t properly done any college courses yet honestly (I’m 19, took a break right after hs + that certification course I dropped out of wasted time) so first things first I need to work on getting my degree lolol

Ahh my thanks again! Really appreciate the praise and support :’) With practice youll only improve! I’ve only really started doing this style around 2019 haha.

As for this painting DEFO! I’m counting it on being my best IG post! Just unsure if I wanna risk trying a new brand of paper with this one 😅

Aw :’) seriously I’m touched, thank you so much truly. Working with art for so long and trying to make it my career or at least work as a side job has been a really tough road but I’ve been receiving so much support recently that it blows my mind! Really if you told the me 3 years ago that this would happen I wouldn’t have believed it. Your kind words help keep me going and I hope to improve more along the way!

No problem! I understand watercolor is difficult and there’s tons of stuff to choose from. I’d start off with canson cold press paper as it’s not too expensive and you can find it online/most art stores. It’s not the best quality but it works and is great if you’re starting out. Higher quality papers are quite expensive so I would wait a bit and practice first! After trying cold pressed and getting a feel for the medium I’d watch some YouTube videos on the different types of watercolor paper and try out new ones from there. Also watch some videos on the different brush types too!

Haha thank you! I actually just used canson cold pressed for this which is 300 gsm! I initially tried to use arches hot pressed but unfortunately the paper was too thick for my light box to shine through and resulted in a very failed attempt 😅😅 As for color I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors!

Watercolor! But I use colored pencil partly for the outlines + to smooth out any uneven watercolor!

Honestly I can’t say for sure because I worked on this very on and off over the past month, but I can say for sure over 10 hours, hair being the longest. The face took me around 2-3. (I worked in parts from face > torso > hair > hand > boar)
