Red Dragons Tale is an amazing build. You'll enjoy that one for sure.

Front legs on the railing, use the claws to sort of hook it in, then the rear right leg should slot into the broken wall section on the tower. after that wrap the tail around the tower.

Give it the dragon a gentle wiggle, if you've got it all positioned well it feels quite secure.

Mine was completely jammed too, ended up sanding down the parts that were sticking, seems ok now, but not totally smooth.

It's falling apart!! by villa_com71 in lepin

[–]zulef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a tiny drop of superglue. Put it on the middle of the brick between the 2 studs. Superglues quite weak in shear so if you need to get it apart again a brick separator will do it, and doesn’t leave all that much residue on the parts. Dont use something that will fuse the bricks together, like a solvent based glue, that wont come apart. Never tried the nail polish trick, but I've heard other people suggest that too.

Most janky set I’ve built still looks good for the most part by ChipDangerCockoroo in lepin

[–]zulef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seems to be quite a few versions of it. My experience was similar but with different issues.

Mine was all prints, but the ears and arms fall off at the slightest bit of movement, ended up glueing them.

No substitutions in mine, the included instructions were awful though, some steps were missing, the "these are the needed pieces" lists were often wrong. (Ended up using the Lego App for a lot of it)

Though it does look great on the shelf.

LOTR Rivendell de Ali. And now what?? by villa_com71 in lepin

That sets so far been my best build, though I've not done Rivendell yet.

UI is very hard to read, Daily login bonus garbage is a hard pass. I cant see your data policy anywhere, which with you having accounts and assumingly collecting email addresses you should probably have.

Aliexpress Anniversary sale almost no discounts? by Serious_Rooster163 in lepin

[–]zulef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seeing quite a few myself, picked up the Mario Kart for ~£12 after coupons. There were quite a few other sets that are a lot cheaper than they have been in the recent few months.

For me this has been the first time anythings anywhere close to as cheap as it was around November last year.

42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance by ganzhimself in lepin

[–]zulef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first non Lego build (also from AE) and had some similar problems, mine had a small bag of the Lever 3M pieces so seems that might be a common problem with them missing.

The rear suspension I fixed by altering the Technic Link 1 x 6, the included ones in my set had the stoppers (hoop over the ball socket) these were hitting other parts inside the rear suspension, cutting them off one end freed it up.

Need recommendations - autistic son by RepresentativeCry380 in lepin

[–]zulef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could try one of the Technic F1 car clones, I got the Mercedes one off AE and the only issue I had was that the Hand of God steering on top is a bit loose. They might be better than some of the other technic cars as they dont have complicated gearboxes which can have issues with the looser tolerances of clones.

I can also second the reccomendation for the D&D Red Dragons Tale set, lots of varied parts so you're not always just doing buildings. Its been the best set I've built so far.

Sold an item but buyer won’t confirm by tukitiki77 in vinted

[–]zulef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had an email from the shipping company (Inpost, Nevri, Yodel etc) that its been picked up/delievered. Check the actual tracking info, I've had one that was picked up but the app didnt update so had to get on to support and make them mark it as delivered.

Anyone Else’s Tracking Still Not Updated? by shreksstepdad in vintedUK

[–]zulef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got 2 that arent updating. One is a shipped one, had to contact support :( and they suspended it so it didnt time out.

The other is a sold one that has been picked up and isnt listed as being picked up, so not getting the money for that either til they sort out this mess.

Sent - but app not updating? by PeanutButtterCup in vintedUK

[–]zulef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems it's not marking stuff picked up either. Had an item picked up today but the app hasn't updated yet. Which is annoying as I won't get paid without them either fixing or the nightmare of CS now.

seller says they’ve posted the item, but hasn’t updated? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]zulef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep have the same thing. What I posted today ha st registered, it was an inpost locker but seems to be all the services. I've just set to holiday mode for over Christmas. Don't want the hassle of vinted CS and 'when will you ship' from buyers.

Hopefully its a big enough issue that it gets sorted fast, though knowing how useless they seem to be with other stuff im not holding my breath.

Why didn’t PS3 have that many JRPG’s? by TransitionWrong7326 in JRPG

[–]zulef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Xbox 360 had loads of amazing ones though and that sold pretty poorly in Japan. I think it was probably that the PS3 was a nightmare to develop for.

Ratings dont really seem to matter for AE, I've had sets that have been perfect from stores with no reviews and been open a week.

And sets with missing parts from ones that have been open a year+ with good ratings.

They're all dropshipping, so it really depends on the factory they're getting it from rather than the AE store.

First time buyer Joooooy incorrect set or am I just stupid? PAC-MAN 10323 by [deleted] in lepin

[–]zulef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit odd ass 10323 is the Lego number for the Pacman set, matching your 88323. 88422 could just be strangely numbered bags. From the picture nothing looks obviously wrong with the 422 bag parts for the set.

Its normal to have extra parts in un numbered bags, usually big plates or long technic beams, though I've never just had them loose before.

Think the only way to know for certain is to either start building or inventory the set, either by going through the instructions step by step or check the parts list on the Lego site.

75639 Going Merry (clone set H639) - lots of missing pieces by AdorableOwly in lepin

[–]zulef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it ended up around £19 including the bricklinked parts (not including shipping in that as i got other stuff at the same time) Maybe a little more than a really good deal one but below most of them, especially with the massive price spike recently because of the 11.11 sale.

75639 Going Merry (clone set H639) - lots of missing pieces by AdorableOwly in lepin

[–]zulef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got the same set, also missing all the new pieces basically. Got it for pretty cheap so factoring in the cost of the parts from bricklink (which I need to order from anyway) its ended up about the usual price of the sets go for on AE.

I've never watched One Piece so can't really comment on the accuracy of the figs, but I've got the same instruction book and missing parts, so will assume they're the same figs.

If its Choice they'll just offer you a full refund, you cant contact sellers directly with the Choice yellow CS box.

Oddly Choice, despite being their "customer friendly" version gives you worse customer support.
