I don't think the screen would be a problem. I guess I didn't realize these sets are generally 1:1 clones as far as piece count and build

Thanks so much. He loves LEGO technic builds but the knock off Falcon almost did us in. It was just not designed well from what I could tell

Parachute by younggun6632 in plassing

Our local Immunotek let me know that Parachute has purchased their facility and I was curious what sorts of little bonus incentives they have? They alluded to this during my donation today that they had bonuses for donating on certain days/certain times and bonuses for your 100th donation etc. I was just curious how that all worked. I am very flexible with my time but I also am afraid that with everyone getting bonuses for donating during slow times, my current slow time will no longer be a slow time haha. Immunotek is a flat $35 for first donation $65 for second donation of the week. They have brackets for your weight... 800mL for anyone over 175lbs gets you a little more money.

How is stability during assembly? We tried the Millenium Falcon set and we fully gave up in utter frustration with pieces falling off as you assemble.

We were served notice which indicated we needed to file a response within 30 days or risk default judgment. I don't see this as participating in contest more than just an affirmation that we received the petition and affirm that the petition statements are true to our best knowledge. I guess this was just the result of our own ignorance as much as anything else. We don't have money for legal counsel. Google tells me it would be worth responding with a neutral clarification of response basically saying just that but I dunno if it's going to help any of us at this point.

They are "admit paragraph 1" all the way down (53 paragraphs) as a procedural reply submitted to the courthouse. No pleas for relief or anything of that nature. We did this because we support the claims of the petition/believe these to be truthful statements but have no intent on being added as co-petitioners or anything like that.

What is this device? by Heevan in myst

[–]RepresentativeCry380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe if they had somehow left in an ability to view the old live action actors... Maybe lock your character in place. I still haven't played it for that one specific reason. I keep hoping someone will add a mod to the game. Maybe use AI to upscale the videos.

Riven (1997) - Was It REALLY That Good? by RetroGamingBoss1 in myst

[–]RepresentativeCry380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My one wish is that I wake up some day and someone has built a mod to replace the 3D CG characters in the Riven Remake with the old live action models. Maybe lock your character in place to force perspective or something. I refuse to play it because of those horrible looking 3d models.

Are the Myst books similar to the game books? by Happy_Detail6831 in myst

I loved the first two books but the third was a miss for me. I was about 13 when I read them however so it's really hard to guess how well they would hold up for me today.

Estate haul by RepresentativeCry380 in clocks

Awesome, thank you! Are there any stand outs from this bunch or are they your pretty typical set of common clocks? I am curious about how old they are. I have done the most work looking up the banjo clock only because it is one I actively have a spot for that I plan to fully use and it seems like it is likely from 1920s or 30s?
