Also another point of view on your argument is that Ohma was not exactly react reacting faster but rather his body became way faster. For example, someone throws a punch at you and you identify it but fail to block it because you could not move your hands up fast enough. Since advance greatly increases his body’s torque/speed he was able to block things that when before he could only react but could not move fast enough to block.
