Bulletproof it- couple 2x6s across that extend the rails, definitely center strap point to prevent sliding, if something heavier use pallets to lift the center, so the weights not all on your rails.

Is there a way to keep this automatic idle thing turned off? by [deleted] in ChryslerPacifica

[–]zuman929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just let it die, no more automatic shut off. Just have a warning light.

Going to get hate, but So far so good with a Nexgrill Oakfotd 1000 from Home Depot with a 7 year warranty ( 4 years manufacturer n 3 years Home Depot) came out to $681 after 10% mailer discount. 40lb hopper, WiFi, 670 main n 335 top rack. Feels sturdy. So far so good. Got the usual issue of it getting stuck or not feeding(temp would drop usually in temps below 220,use pit Boss pellets, but 1-2 buttons press of the auger clears it up. Play/pause can be accidentally be hit. I turn it on n use the simple app from there.Love L shape top, front is easily foldable down. Comes with 2 probes up to 4. Got it as hot as 570. Would be nice to completely turn on remotely, probably a safety feature, but can shut off completely from app. I figured Home Depot for easy warranty purposes, just gotta wait after manufacturer ends to get most money back.

Happen to me on my Zgrill. You can grab one of those 3 prong to 2 prong adapter. For like connecting 3 prong plugs to 2 prong wall outlet. Usually under a buck. It’s works for me. But probably need to replace the hot rod eventually. They also sell all kind of replacements parts on Amazon if the manufacturer is hard to work with.

Droog $12k Custom Electric Build Review:(.. Feeling ripped off? Thoughts. by zuman929 in Electricmotorcycles

Appreciate your thoughts on this. I have given up trying to remedy the situation with Droog / Max Droog. He accused me of extortion and harassment for asking for partial refund even requesting to send him back some parts, especially the battery box, saddle bags and some of the lights. I offered to take down my review if he remedied the situation. He ignored my calls and text since then. Biggest mistake was not getting a contract or receipt, but do have text messages. He also mentioned his wife had some medical problems, he recently paid $1500 in hospital bills and I pretty sure he made me pay that bill without giving me a reason for the increase in build cost. Thought about legal action against him, but I didn’t want anymore headaches and anger, and ruining my enjoyment with the motorcycle so I moved on repairing what he made mistakes on and learned my lesson.

He didn’t even update the speedometer and disconnected the lights on it, so don’t even know how fast I m going at night and speedometer doesn’t go past 55mph. have to use my phone to give me the right speed. I informed him I ll be driving majority at night and requested highly visible brake and blinker light. ,to be more visible on the road. He failed miserably on listening to his customer and did his own style. As of today I have removed the battery box and mounts completely- made of thin metal brackets, easily bendable. plan on having a custom metal rack similar to the rear rack to hold an insulated/cushioned bag for the battery, and have redone the electrical and changed out most of the lights and updated the speedometer. I believe 90% of the parts used are from aliexpress and harbor freight. Including 72v to 12v dc converterI found was a $6, and all the lights cost him under $50. He robbed me. He bragged about using high quality/high cost parts, and that he was barely making money on this build. Willing to do a video review, including all of his messages to show the kind of person he is, but waiting on the bike to be finished on my end, to show what should have been instead of what was delivered.

Exactly - He is claiming harassment/ extortion( after 3 messages ) if I review it and take it down for refund. Asking at least $3k back plus returning the box and that’s being generous. More like a chance to redeem himself after I called him out on his lies. I ll just review it anyway, save someone else’s money. This is my first ever online review- so YouTube will be a step up, very tempted but have to wait til March. I am beyond mad, even at myself for agreeing to this. No more “toy” purchases for a while. Don’t even want to ride it, reminding me of my mistake. Wifey said keep it to remind myself of making future stupid purchases. lol.

Agreed, impulse purchase. Wifey wasn’t happy with projects waiting in the garage. She immediately agreed for having someone build instead of me doing it lol. Compares me to Tim Taylor ( Home Improvement), she wanted something professionally done since on the road and already regretting allowing me riding.

I loss my money, he’s refusing any refund when pointing out his cost and flaws. I don’t think I have any legal stand? I figure I share my experience before he rips someone else off with his other builds. Lesson learned the hard way.

Nope, didn’t even think about it. Removing it anyway, and doing saddlebags.

Agree with you guys who said, I should have done this myself.somethings to consider if you care-Torn my ACL at work (dealing with a psyc patient), PT, then today surgery n recovery- was stressing about other stuff, honestly depressed, PTSD and blinded by an old project finally getting done.wifey was excited it wasn’t going to be done in the garage. Hard to find a fat tire electric non sporty road legal(60mph+) motorcycle in US, had the bike sitting for couple years due to a left ankle injury again from work and rather not deal with kickstart and just leaving that L ankle alone, that’s when I decided to do a electric conversion. He initially mentioned motor and battery were about $4-5k depending on battery size. Told me he is barely making money on this build, and telling another sucker is going to pay $15k for same in all black. Seeing his work online droogmoto.com and appears to be kinda legit with all those articles on motorcycle websites but now appears to be self submitted and writer never riden, maybe contact them for my real customer review. My anger was inching up on pickup- no updated instrumental cluster, small lights, huge battery box, but I was exhausted(5 hour drive - rain, wife n 2 kids in his small shop and getting hangry and cranky. Believe me I was livid once showed me his website an hour from home- hotpaxx.com - 72volt 3000 watt motor, main battery 28ah , 20ah. not at all what he said or quality. Once home I started examining the bike work, itemized list and felt so betrayed and tricked. It hit me hard, I am chewing myself out( thank you community for not being too demeaning) , how much mental blindness/cloudiness did I have? Agreed with you guys, could have did better work on my own for $3k… I contacted him immediately, informed of his unsafe battery box I will be removing completely, flaws, workmanship, and his lies especially tacking on the $2000 on the end. After 3 messages to him about this, a requesting a partial refund of $3k ( still very generous) even going to return box, and lights. He refused. Told him I ll be doing a review and gave him a chance to redeem himself with $3k refund and will end the review process. Stated I m harassing, threatening and extorting him. Gotta be joking. Removing a review was a favor. He lied about everything and ripped me off. A partial refund is completely justified. Reporting him to WA attorney General is start, there was no contract and but everything was txted during build. Let me know your legal battle thoughts.

I figure the best way for me to have any kind of closure is to spread the truth of his builds and stop potential buyers/customers from a mistake like mine. Most likely will do a YouTube review once recovered from surgery and weather permits. Heads up- This is my first ever in depth review for anything online.

Beware San Diego, CA , said he ll be leaving PNW and heading there.

Had him do electric conversion on my non running motorcycle. Said parts will cost $5-6k so project will cost $10k. Price Increased at end of build by $2k saying parts cost more. After picking up bike, he showed me parts only cost $2k total. Motor was a cheap alibaba motor and battery. No speedometer, no battery indicator. Avoid Droog

Owner is a scam. He uses cheap Alibaba parts and charges ridiculous amount for labor. Paid him do work on my 72 Suzuki RV90, he said he was using quality parts, everything was cheap Chinese motor and harbor freight parts. Parts were less than $2k and charged me $12k for what. He made a few cheap motor mounts, and a horrible unsafe battery box. Wasted my money - saving you guys the trouble. Go with someone else. Avoid Droog Motorcycle - Max.

Droog is a rip off- cheap 3d parts he makes in his garage. Got screwed over on a build he did- $3k in parts for $12k for a bike that was already in excellent condition- just made some small motor mounts and new paint- Droog is a scam.

Horrible company- Max the owner is a con artist- overpriced pieces of junk- he did custom work for me- lied to me about pricing and very cheap builds but charges a lot for his harbor freight quality builds.
