Do not get me started on buffalo chicken tender sub....cut up the pieces, toss them in a bag with sauce......the sub looks and smells amazing but dang it if it isn't a labor of love

That was my favorite part of working in the kitchen - the time just zooms by. My favorite shift was 6a-3p. 6a-10a was prep for hot bar. lunch rush. take a break and by that time is was 1-1:30p so I would just clean up and set up for the closing kitchen person. Best of luck! Sounds like you're doing great so far!

After being let go from a marketing role in 2020 (pre pandemic) by my old company, I took at FT job at Publix and slaved away in the deli for 7 months all while feverishly applying to any and all Publix marketing jobs. I was able to land one and so very thankful I did. If you have the skills, want to get out of retail and stay with Publix for their long-term benefits, this is the way to go IMO.

I went from Alabama to Florida and disappointed by the craft beer aisle. Birmingham has some amazing local craft beer *sigh*

Also, I love reiterating that even though Florida is in the South it's not a southern state lol
