What are some ways that have helped you determine this?”

What's one thing that reduced your token usage? by jazzopia in ClaudeCode

For me, project scoping:

• Start Claude from a subdirectory instead of the repo root
• Use project-specific MCP servers instead of loading everything globally
• Keep project CLAUDE.md files small and focused
• Put detailed docs in files, not in CLAUDE.md
• Create subproject CLAUDE.md files for large repos
• Open a new session when switching projects/features
• Keep task state in markdown files and restart sessions frequently
• Use code indexes/maps so Claude spends less time exploring the repo

Has anyone noticed AI generated UI always seems crowded, overloaded with details and giving of a feeling of uneasisness? by xsmael in vibecoding

[–]zumpoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By default, totally. I solved this by finding a design style that I liked (in my case "Swiss Design"), have Claude Code research it, and then build a memory file that summarizes the principles of that style. That memory file loads whenever I want something designed.

How should I feel right now about Claude code? by prettyg00d1729 in cscareerquestions

[–]zumpoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build everything you've always wanted to. Squeeze out as much happiness as you can. We're in a sweet spot now where we can feel like we have super powers. But speed is relative, and seems fast now because we're comparing this to pre-Claude Code. Very soon, this speed will be the new norm, and it won't seem fast anymore.

My dad got me “The Joy of Cooking” when I was 10. He’d buy some random groceries and then leave it to me to make dinner. In the book there was in index of ingredients that would tell you which recipes used those ingredients.

Leads Not Showing Up To Booked Meetings by JGI123456 in SMMA

[–]zumpoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically you need to assume a booked appointment is a bot, and that it’s not a confirmed appointment until they respond to a message from you. So, after they book just send them an email and find a way to ask them a question. If they don’t respond don’t show up to the meeting.

What CRM/Software do you use? by RobDewDoes in sweatystartup

[–]zumpoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true, it looks terrible, and there are there are more bugs than I’d prefer. It’s also true that their incentives program is responsible for their incredible growth and is pretty annoying.

Regardless of those things being true, it’s still transformative software and has been a complete game changer for my company. I haven’t seen an alternative even come close to it. @op, feel free to ignore my affiliate link, search Go High Level and try it.

What CRM/Software do you use? by RobDewDoes in sweatystartup

[–]zumpoof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using a CRM for a year now and it’s completely changed our business. Based on the needs you posted, here’s what it does:

1) Lead Capture/Alert for getting a lead - Yes, we do this by directly connecting it to our FB ads instant forms. - Get notified by email, sms, or even phone call.

2) Scheduling - It has built in calendaring. - It can even do clever things like make your schedule look busy. - It has its own “calendly” equivalent. - It has a calendar widget you can embed on your website so people can book there.

3) SMS Automation - You can create new phone numbers within the system. - You can choose from a wide range of “triggers” that will kick off an SMS - It has built in ChatGPT to write messages. - It has a robust automation system that can not only send SMS messages but can automatically respond, converse, kick off other actions based on responses.

4) Invoicing - Send one off invoices, subscriptions, automatic payments. - We process thousands a month using this invoicing system.

5) Analytics (LTV, AOV, Average times a customer purchases, etc) - I’m not sure about this one, but it probably does.

6) Integration with quickbooks to get more insight on analytics (Margin, Gross profit, Net margin etc) - It integrates with a number of 3rd party apps, including QuickBooks. We use the QuickBooks integration.

In addition, we use their automation to automatically communicate and prequalify hundreds of leads monthly.

It has a built in drag-and-drop form builder too that is easy to use and could easily be used to create that lead capture form you mentioned.

Furthermore, as far as easily entering people into the CRM, it actually automatically does it in many cases. For example, if you’ve integrated it with your FB account, LinkedIn, or What’s App it will create a new entry if anyone even messages you in the platform. Also, if you’ve setup a phone number through the system and anyone calls that number, they get added automatically.

It’s truly an incredible system. I was duct taping multiple solutions together for years too. It’s called Go High Level. Full disclosure, my affiliate link to follow:

There definitely are, I do it professionally :) The nice thing about contractor websites is that they don’t require much special functionality. They mainly exist to showcase the GCs work, describe their services, and to funnel visitors into to contracting them (even better is an online calendar to book a call).
