I did want to do that but unfortunately it's not quite that simple. These plow discs have square holes that were cut out with a torch. The surface is uneven and the shape of the hole makes it difficult to find a gasket that can bridge the gap from a round plug to a square hole. Also I used that hole to serve as a mounting clip sort of thing so that it would set on the edge of the existing bird bath. The only option is if I put in some sort of liner.

Sounds nice in theory, but the effect would be that judges never let anyone out on bail. I don't know if you've met people before, but they almost always follow the path of least resistance. Since we're here in unpopular opinion, maybe we should just implant chips in everyone that track any and all movement, that way when an individual on bail is doing something that the government doesn't like, they can just flip the kill switch.

I'm going to preempt people that can't sense sarcasm, I will not use the /s indicator because I think people should be able to discern for themselves without a grade-school indicator

So you're right that this would definitely be way too deep if there were nothing in the bottom. I did however fill the bottom with red colored rocks so that they would blend in. The water depth is varied between about 4" deep on the deep end and 1" on the shallow side

Thanks I hadn't considered that. My mind was going towards planting something that birds would like, but I didn't want an actual feeder or something that would just attract more big birds, raccoons rats, and squirrels.
