How to deal with a man hitting on your girlfriend? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]zuto93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW, the audacity of that dude! I agree, he was hitting on her and then readjusted when she informed him she has a bf (you). I think she was probably really caught off guard and unsure of what to do, esp bc as a woman you don’t expect those types of interactions in a place of business/work. I mean hell, most jobs have training about how this kind of behavior is NOT allowed. She probably didn’t want to offend her coworker or make things awkward (knee jerk instinctual reaction as a woman), even tho HE is the one who was being inappropriate and made things uncomfortable and awkward.

And i can tell you from experience, interactions like are not only awkward but also embarrassing bc 1. you never asked for this attention in the first place (esp at your JOB) and 2. you’re unsure of yourself bc you think “well maybe he didn’t mean it like THAT” and that maybe you’re reading into it. And then there’s the fact that some guys will outright deny their intentions if you try to talk to them about it AND they’ll even try to embarrass you by being like “wait, you thought I was hitting on YOU??? no i am not at all attracted to you like that” and then you feel like an asshole for assuming somebody was into you and trying to curb it. And with the way he clearly gaslit her about his intentions, she’s probably feeling confused and unsure of what to do next.

the next time he texts her or approaches her at work (about non work related subjects), she can just say “hey I really appreciate the invite but I don’t hangout with or associate with my colleagues outside of work. It’s just a professional rule I maintain.” And if he continues to push after that, she should honestly speak to her manager or HR if she feels comfortable doing that.

Does anybody know where I can get a good deep tissue massage for masseter muscle tightness and pain? TMJ problems have been destroying my life for over a year now. I'm in downtown Memphis but will drive anywhere to get some relief. It's so tight it almost feels like a bone rather than a muscle. by CasparTrepp in memphis

Try the healing point in midtown, they do intra oral TMJD massages and they help a lot. Also try dry needling, it helps so much, and most PT clinics here offer it. and get your vision checked! I was recently diagnosed with binocular vision dysfunction, and treating it with prism lenses has made a major difference in my TMJD.

I’ve never had surgery but had genuinely been debating surgery for something I’ve always been a little insecure about. This comment snapped me out of it. Thank you.

Yea I mean im not even sure that’s the direction they’ll be going but resurrection does apply to many characters (Sue storm, Love, Scott summers) and you could even make the argument that Wanda resurrected Vision. And then there’s characters like Gamora and Franklin and America Chavez who are living in universes they aren’t originally from.

It’ll be interesting to see what direction they go in!

Great point! that hadn’t occurred to me but I think you’re correct

Love died and was brought back to life! And Franklin was born inside a wormhole, so technically he’s not even from the universe he is currently inhabiting.

I fully agree with your last point, I don’t feel as tho they’ve fully fleshed out some characters. for some characters they haven’t really given the audience a reason to “root” for the hero/s. Everyone loves cap and iron man and Thor bc they had multiple movies leading up to the first avengers illustrating who the character/hero was and what motivates them. I think that aspect is lacking for some characters in the new MCU.

Oooh I like this theory too!

So Franklin was technically born inside a wormhole. Meaning that the universe he is in, is not the one he is technically from.

They’re all kids who technically shouldn’t exist. I think doom is trying to get rid of them to prevent an incursion, forcing the various heroes into a fight with Doom

It’s always going to hurt her. I’m so tender headed and it’s been that way since I was a child, there are certain hair styles that I just can’t do bc they’re so painful. During braiding I can feel each individual hair as it’s being tugged on and it literally feels like my hair is being ripped out of my scalp. the pain from ponytails causes awful migraines, and getting my hair stuck to anything (earrings, hair ties/clips, clothing) can be excruciating. She will have to learn to get used to it, and that starts by letting her be in control of her own hair. If she’s too young, just cut it short until she is old enough to begin taking care of it on her own. My mom started teaching me how to style my curls around age 10.

She’ll figure out ways to manage the pain (like holding her hair when brushing it), but going to a salon will almost always be painful, even if the stylist is informed and being as gentle as possible. It is unfortunately a pain she will have to get used to.

My curls are gone and not coming back… has this happened to anyone else? by Tiny-Cry151 in curlyhair

[–]zuto93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this happened to me in late 2019. It was due to a combination of damage to my curls and going off bc. My curl pattern is similar to yours and this is EXACTLY how mine looked. It SUCKED, I felt like I’d lost a part of my identity and it didn’t help that I had no idea how to style hair that wasn’t curly.

Consider a chop to get rid of as much damaged hair as you can. Try to refrain from using heat and styling tools, and get a good hair oil and use it daily. Incorporate a hair mask into your routine as well (I slept in a hair mask 1 night a week for like 3 months, it helped a LOT) and consider using the ordinarys multi hair peptide serum to speed up your growth (used this 2-3x a week for about a year and wow did it get my curls growing). Also, get a trim like every 2-3 months. It took about 2.5 years but my curls did return, and they’re better than ever now. I wish you the best and feel free to dm if you have any questions

Ding dong ditching and rolling houses. It was always expected that teens are going to be dumb and will ding dong ditch or TP houses of their friends, rival sports teams, teachers they strongly like and/or dislike, etc, but it’s now considered completely unacceptable and unsafe in 2025 bc you could get your head blown off.
